I've been here twice to a family buffet.There was no processed foods served, all properly cooked beef on the sandwiches as well as ham chicken and salmon.There's a wide variety of beers to choose from too.A really nice pub in a really nice seeing.

We visited early evening on a Saturday. The pub is in a great village setting and once inside it is an oldy worldy pub with a nice friendly feeling. It was very quiet. There was a dog with a lead tied to a chair, a little friendly dog but unfortunately ran around us tying us together a bit. One of the owners came over and apologised.We ordered drinks whilst looking at the menu. The barman came to the table to advise that it was cash only as the machines were down and to take orders, but then the first 3 meals that we asked for were sold out from the day before as they were apparently busy. This was very frustrating, I ended up asking what they did have and he said that he wasn't sure. After another think we decided on different meals but couldn't find anyone at the bar for 15 minutes, then he reappeared at the table to take out order and opened a tab for us. The pub was virtually empty but took 40 minutes to prepare our meals. It became apparent that the barman was also the kitchen staff. When the food eventually arrived though it was delicious. After a false start it was a very nice meal.The bar was constantly left empty with people waiting and waiting, it turns out that a gent sat opposite us was a staff member but didn't help out unless it was his day off?All in all very friendly service, great food but very slow service and frustrating with the lack of meals available on a Saturday early evening

Quiet soft drink on motorcycle ride. Nicely located country village pub, just starting to recover from the Pandemic. Pleasant staff. Nice outdoor area. I can imagine it's really popular in more normal times.

Old school pub with live football and friendly service. It hasn’t changed a great deal in 15 years, but that is precisely part of the charm. Very happy to recommend.

Good friendly outside table service during Covid restrictions. No waiting for order to be taken & quickly arrived with our drinks. Fair prices too.

Definitely not a photo of Red Lion. Great welcome from Mike. We stopped overnight in motorhome with two small children. Excellent. Clean and we'll kept. Menu looked good although we did not eat. Look forward to coming back
