We passed through the island on our way to Eilean Glas lighthouse. Lovely location with some interesting roads and stunning views

Seems like everything is shut on a Wednesday, but at least the clean and well-maintained loos at the free car park were open. The weather wasn't great so we didn't venture far, but it seemed like an interesting place to return to and explore.

I only discovered Scalpay accidentally when I answered an ad. for a kitchen table! It's amazing, very scenic and the people were very friendly, kind and helpful. I'm going back with my camera soon. Well worth a visit, when we're allowed to go wandering again.

A small set of coastal towns with a great walk out to the lighthouse. The ground was soaked and rather boggy, but it was still a blast to be rewarded with some great views.

Isle of Scalpay
An incredible island with some great walks, a very interesting historical lighthouse and beautiful views at every angle. All the local people were very friendly. Hope to go back again every summer and hopefully will have great weather once again.
