James Gillingham Drums

As a father of a 12 years old boy, I look for a drum teacher who can carry out an interesting and joyful lesson, able to motivate and transmit the passion and enthusiasm for music, and drums in particular.This is exactly what James has been doing teaching my son for the last three years.

James has been teaching my 11yr old son. James mixes music theory with learning the tracks my son likes and he even does a bit of jamming with him by playing bass for my son to follow along to. James is versatile, very skilled and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Simon

I have tried a couple drumming lessons with other local teachers, but I found I made the most progress with James. He is really friendly and easy to learn from. He always replays the same beat for me for the 473738th time (thank you) and he knows how much to target on each lesson. I really recommend him ! He is also really reasonably priced :-)

James is an excellent drum teacher. He pays great attention to the student. His experience and musical education get the students being able to play the instrument quickly and show a fast learning curve. I would highly recommend James as a teacher as he has the skill set and calm, patient attitude any student needs. Thank you James for providing classes since more than 2 years!

James is an outstanding teacher. Our boys have fallen in love with the drums due to his brilliant rapport and well pitched lessons. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
