Heeley Green Surgery

This is a shocking practice and I really need to move but heard others are just as bad. The support for mental health has failed me to the point where the doctors nearly had a death on their hands. Getting a face to face appointment is near on impossible. Receptionist are no help. I only wish a GP could walk in my shoes for a week in so much pain some days I can’t get out of bed. Practice manager never returns your calls so she’s just as bad. I put a compliment in weeks ago and never heard back from her

Ive had to wait 5 weeks for an appointment (more than once) and go at 6.45am when I really needed to be seen sooner. I can’t even seem to able to get a telephone appointment, even when it’s been urgent now. Unfortunately have lost confidence in accessing help because of these problems. It used to be a great doctors.

I’ve just moved here from another surgery. The comments I’ve read here describe that surgery perfectly well. The whole being in a queue for the longest time is the norm in majority of the surgeries now. Unless you’ve been with another surgery and experienced the exact same thing don’t assume this one is the worst & the other ones are better. I’ve had a horrible experience at the previous surgery which I will not name. My son was ‘diagnosed’ with asthma & he kept having his inhaler’s strength or dosage whatever you want to call it increased. This surgery went the extra mile to refer him to hospital instead of doing the exact same thing. The next day he had a hospital appointment!He also suffers with constipation or holding his own bowel motion in, out of fear of being in pain. They even offered to refer him to a team that help you with that. I didn’t even know anything like that exists!My husband has suffered with a cyst in place of his kidney and they have started doing annual health reviews which all the other surgeries failed to do! And yes we have been with 3 different surgeries and hands down this is the best one!P.s I can’t say anything negative about the receptionists either. I’ve spoke to two different ones and both were lovely.

Had to register at a new surgery after 50 years with Heeley Green, it used to be based on Meersbrook Road many years ago. Not got a bad word to say about the place, all the doctors I've seen throughout the years have been great, receptionists always helpful and always received a phone call at the time I was supposed to. Sorry to leave but no longer in catchment area.

Hi,I'm just leaving a review on hear in hope that the managers of this surgery take notice.I've used this surgery over 15 years and it has changed to a point that you can't book an appointment or if you do get an appointment it is for in a month's time.I have even had one doctor that was very rude to me in his manner and felt I was looked on with disdain.I believe they must know he's a bad character as I usually get a message to rate my experience and this time I didn't receive one.He would have received a zero for customer satisfaction.I'm sad to say this doctors surgery has definitely gone down hill quite drastically.

Having to visit quite regularly lately due to an on going issue and all the doctors I have seen have all been really, really attentive. They have listened to me and tried to solve the issues not just fob me off with painkillers. The currentGPs are all lovely and really friendly.All the other staff are brilliant too. No complaints from me about anything.

My experience at this doctors has been consistently awful for years. Most of the doctors are all locums, I've been there a long time and never had a consistent doctor who I feel comfortable explaining problems to.It's borderline impossible to even get through to reception let alone an appointment. Constantly hung up on, completely uncompassionate and inconsiderate. It's actually quite upsetting and also frustrating that people in the medical community are allowed to have this attitude towards patients.

I have been with this surgery all my life but the service now is beyond appalling, if not dangerous to people's health. The majority of the staff on reception are rude and never answer the phones. How can you call up at 8am and be number 30 in the queue? It's a joke. Everywhere else in Sheffield seems to be back offering in person appointments except here. I think the management of this place need to accept that the country is back open now and they can't use covid as an excuse forever.

Extremely rude receptionist. I was trying to book a call GP appointment as I was asked by doctor to do it after two weeks of taking new medication. She didn't even wait until I say my name and date of birth and after she claimed I was not registered with them. I had to fight with her to book the call from GP. I wish I knew the receptionist name as I would put a complaint.
