Queen Elizabeth Forest Park
A truly beautiful place to spend a few hours. There are several walking trails of various difficulty, although none that are really difficult. Wildlife surrounds you when walking through this natural, protected place. You can also take the 3 loch forest drive from the forest lodge visitor centre, the drive is 7 miles, there is a £3.00 fee to take the drive.

Absolutely stunning place to relax and escape from everyday issues. Plenty of nice Lochs and great hills to hike. Ben A'an is a good one to start with it's accessible all year round

We did not manage to find some of the stunning walks others managed to. But we did finally see red squirrels in their natural habitat (albeit they were coaxed there by unlimited nuts provided by nut boxes)! Still a good day’s walking to be had and some of the sculptures really not bad at all.

It was a beautiful day and very busy when we arrived. The car park was almost full and along the trails were a mixture of families, mountain bikes and dog walkers. You could clearly see and hear the buzzing of small bodies as they were projected through the skies above you on very thin cables, apparently the longest death slide in the UK.Everyone seemed happy and it was a pleasant experience. We visited end of August so the trees and shrubbery were green and full. The trails were tidy and clean, people were respectful of the ecology of the park and to finish off we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino in the garden of the visitor centre, which overlooks the park and stunning views. There are lots of trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Thankfully we had the dogs to pull us up the steep slopes.Highly recommended for a day out.- Only £5 to park all day.- Can bring dogs into cafe in visitor centre.- toilets available at Vc.I

An excellent place to explore, easy to follow waymarked trails, but plenty of other trails to find off the track. In the snow this place is really quite amazing. Car Park payment machine wasn't working (took money, no ticket) apparently doesn't work very well in the cold...

We passed this place once before. But didn't know anything about it. We were glad we found out more and came again. Go Ape is here. Good for the younger once. I think it's got 4 nature walks with lots to see. I also found out there is a mirror sculpture here aswell. So we will come again and see it for ourselves. I have seen photos, it looks reflectingly good.

Really really liked this park, although I highly advise you take a picture of the route on the information board as we nearly got lost. There are so many twists and turns but the colour coded posts really helped us out. We went the green route round the lochan and it was really peaceful and seen a bunch of blue dragonfly on our way round, clegs were a bit of annoying but they are everywhere at the moment. Highly recommend the green route if you're looking for a walk with water and lasts around an hour, we were around 50 mins. Just a nice addition there is a bench to have lunch with a nice view over the Lochan.
