Very busy, quick service. Meals good, no lift. I know its an old building but had my elderly mum with us & it was not ideal. Couldn't go back for this reason

Didn't stay in hotel but ate in restaurant.Suppose to be hand cut chips , they were frozen chips full of hard bits.Not the best I've ever tasted

VERY GOOD RESTAURANT:I dropped in for dinner only on 21Sep23 with my sailing crew. The service, quality and quantity of the food was exceptional. Not fancy - excellent good Scottish cooking.I can honestly say that the steak pie was the best I've had - masses of well cooked steak chunks, crispy puff pastry, delicious gravy and perfectly cooked spuds and veg. Preceded by lovely lentil soup. And served with enthusiasm and charm by the lovely staff.

Meal in the restaurant food good, service good quite a good atmosphere. Very busy. In need of a bit if updating. Centrally located on Rothesay.

Took the kids for lunch, was delighted with the service and food. Staff were absolutely marvellous, nothing was to much trouble. Food was the way your granny made it. Prices were very reasonable, quality was excellent. Is the place where the locals eat and recommend.

Lovely roast dinner in what has become a fading star of a hotel. Its victorian splendour in its restaurant has long lost its charm. Yet the views are splendid.

Food is great but 1 member of staff I.e. the owner perhaps need to learn some people skills. Very rude, bullies staff and slams cupboards right next to ur table. Feel for the young girl who was waiting on our table. As a resident of bute we used to eat once twice a week there but we have self barred ourselves due to the rudeness of the owner
