Acocks Green Dental Practice

Myself and my Husband joined here a few months ago after our NHS practice of 22 years went private. I have to say the dentist we see (Hitesh) is such a lovely man and his nurse was really friendly. The girls on desk are always so bubbly and polite.

So impressed! I've been looking for a dentist for over 2 years.. Having to put temporary fillings in on a regular basis whilst dealing with chronic health conditions.. Finally I got accepted on to the books here and Dr Aadil and his assistant Andrea couldn't have looked after me better... They fully understood my concerns with my ongoing health issues and reassured me. The professional conduct with a warm friendly manner made for an almost pleasant experience... I'm impressed with the work done and my teeth look sparkling and I had no adverse effects.. Brilliant.. Great lovely team on reception too...

Just registered today and I have an appointment set up in 3 weeks. Which is better than I can say about other dentist. The receptionist was polite and helpful. I’ll leave another review after my appointment in 3 weeks.12/07/23: Just had my appointment and they are already better than my last dentist. I have another appointment booked in 3 weeks

I’ve always had a fear of going to a dentist through past experience, but I must admit Dr Hitesh Mohan has literally helped Restore my trust in dentists with his knowledge and care after having root canal treatment done by him whilst experiencing no pain.So if you like me worry about visiting the dentist, then I couldn’t recommend a better dentist.

I received a text message today saying they need to cancel my upcoming appointment and to call them, they also requested a copy of my prescription, I arrived at the practice at 13.50 from a funeral I had attended, but there was a wheelchair user and other people in there, because I’m also in a wheelchair, I waited outside.When the last person was leaving, she informed me that they are closed and they wouldn’t see me, I did go in but the reception didn’t want to help so I left my prescription and asked them to text me a new date for the teeth removal I need.I will not be holding my breath that I will be getting that appointment or my prescription being added to my records.Apparently they close at 14.00 on a Friday, I wonder if they disconnect a telephone call at 14.00 so as to not working past their scheduled time by a minute or two

I have never seen a dentist before who was as good as Dr. Aadil before, he was able to take out all of my broken teeth without any issues and make me lovely dentures to replace the gaps.Many other dentists have tried and failed to take out these roots but they have not been able to. I am 57 years old and every day I will be praying for him because he has given me a huge gift today, I have never had such an excellent experience with a dentist before.Thank you much Dr Aadil, I am forever grateful to you.

I was seen by an unprofessional and incapable young dentist. Multiple sessions into my root canal treatment he decided to inform me that there was a risk of nerve damage, this was apparent from the very start as x rays were taken.I came in with tooth ache and swelling in my gum, he confirmed that I had an infection but refused to prescribe an antibiotic and said the pain would just go away on its own. When questioned why, he started rolling his eyes, getting annoyed and being dismissive.I had to consult with a private dentist who immediately prescribed an antibiotic. The antibiotic did help however I was informed that it would be a reaccuring infection due to the unfinished root canal. Sure enough now my whole face is swollen, I’m in pain and now the dentist has refused to see me, even though I have a raging, spreading infection.I have to add that he also wanted to drill my tooth with no numbing.AVOID

This place caused me to have a panic attack (1st one ever) and now I sympathise with those that do!Highly incompetent, rude and disrespectful dental assistant called Gaby stormed out of the surgery twice for no apparent reason, kept me and staff member waiting. Then she couldn’t understand the computer system to input data, so a colleague from downstairs had to come to assist and this built up my anxiety due to lying there in the dentist’s chair waiting and waiting.And to put the cherry on top of the cake, shoved the suction tube down my throat twice in mid-treatment. The second occasion that this happened I had to stop my treatment and get out of there immediately!The majority of people are anxious about going to the dentist and customers should be treated with politeness and respect.To credit those that did help me on the day (hygienist and manager Stacey) helped me overcome my attack and offer support.Having said that, I tried to speak to Stacey numerous times to offer feedback but she must’ve been too busy to call me back. (Again to credit her, she did try once or twice, but couldn’t get through so never got to speak to her again).To add insult to injury, my appointment that this establishment rebooked (due to attack) was cancelled, then reinstated which caused me confusion and then when I tried to re-book, the receptionist mentioned that I’d have to pay again (£90) for my cleanse.The vast majority of people, last time I checked don’t seem to have plenty of money lying around hence why they attend normal dentists like Acocks Green Dental Practice.If the owner reads this review, I’ve tried to find you on your website and asked receptionist but nothing was mentioned.Now I’m out of pocket, my treatment wasn’t completed and I’ve got anxiety going back there and most likely this inconvenience shall make me look for another dentist (hard enough in today’s NHS world).Could the owner of this establishment look into your shambolic service and try to find a remedy so that others don’t suffer the same treatment.Finally, due to safeguarding, the person that caused me the full-scale panic attack should not be let back in the company of the patient and unfortunately this happened twice.Please ensure that if a staff member directly caused a panic attack to a patient, they should be immediately prevented from getting close to the patient. Safeguarding for both parties is highly important in this scenario.Thanks for reading and hope this review is helpful for the owner, staff who work there and others that are looking to join this establishment.

Had been trying to find a dentist accepting new NHS and was recommended here and so glad I was. I’m very anxious and from registering to being seen has been great. The girl on desk Sam was a darling, Practice Manager (Stacey) was so lovely calming me down. My dentist Reece has been great and his nurse Gaby is so funny & kind. Actually not so frightened anymore. Thank You all ☺️
