Optical Express

I had my eyes lasered yesterday, and am over the moon with the results 24 hours later. Better than 20/20 vision already! The team really looked after me and have to make a special mention to Lee who looked after me from the consultation to the check up this morning. He explained everything clearly and in detail to me so nothing was a surprise. Great customer service and can recommend using Optical Express for anyone that wants laser treatment.

I wish I had Laser surgery years ago... Best money I have ever spent. The whole process from start to finish at Optical Express is seamless and very efficient.Day of surgery was daunting, however the procedure was painless, I would describe it as slight discomfort. I walked in to the theater and walked out 20 minutes later, five hours after surgery I was fully back to normal and with perfect vision.All the staff at Optical Express (Southampton) are friendly and take plenty of time to answer any questions in detail. If you are thinking about having laser treatment, book yourself a free consultation, you won't regret it.I now joke with everyone I can actually see how ugly they really are, after having surgery!! ;-)

On Tuesday 29th August 2023 I had a double cataract operation with two new lenses being fitted. My vision before 17:00 that day was poor to say the least.I went in for the surgery around 18:00 that afternoon and by 19:00 I was up and about to leave. I was given two sets of eye drops which I have taken religiously as prescribed. I returned the next morning at 09:45 and could read the eye test letters from the first to last letter without glasses. I didn't drive even though I could have done easily. In fact far more easily than at any time in the preceding 12 months.It's now a week later and my sight is amazing. I have been fitted with Eyhance" lenses and it is great to have so much colour and clarity back. The lenses that were used on the advice of the surgeon are excellent

Not the best experience. Surgery ran late by 4 hours due to requiring a new laser tip. Surgeon visibly distressed with poor chairside mannerism , felt rushed and not looked after. Now informed 4 months later I will need revision surgery. Recovery was brutal as suction had to be attempted 3 times on my left eye - same eye I need revision surgery.

Professional friendly staff. All questions asked were answered. Clean and comfortable waiting room with tea and coffee provided. Im so glad i had my eyes done. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting laser surgery.

OpticalExpress have impressed me immensely.I had the pleasure of meeting Mohammed and Rigmor at the Salisbury clinic. They were both extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional.I was interested in having lens replacement surgery and a little nervous. Although I'm happy having both lenses replaced I found Optical Express Southampton near 'uncanny valley.'Do refuse to choose either yes or no to their meeting questions during and after surgery. They don't offer a middle ground as they rely on pressure of being asked to say yes to up their percentage of 'x amount of people say they are happy using Optical Express". The manager got quite arsey with me when I refused to choose on the grounds I was neither of the options given.The manager had about as much personality as a time share salesman but with more transparency. How he could manage tying his shoelaces I don't know.The nurses and surgeon fantastic

I had lens replacement surgery so that I didn’t have to wear glasses for going out and driving. My operation was carried out at Southampton. I was petrified and nearly walked out minutes before. I was given a mild sedative and relaxed throughout. The staff, anaesthetist and doctor were superb and I never felt a thing. I now have 20/20 vision and I’m so pleased that I went through with it. I could not fault the entire experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering it.

Had multi lens replacement surgery in April in both eyes. Had read lots of good reviews about Optical Express and I’m so please that i chose them. My eyes are amazing actually better than I expected.Now have better then 20/20 vision and no more reading glasses for me. Love that I can go shopping and not have to keep putting on glasses to see the price of everything. And not needing glasses to read menu’s etc…. Only wish I had it done years ago. Would definitely recommend Optical Express
