I went for a meal with my partner, I ordered a pizza margherita and a chicken salad, the pizza was pizza based frozen no taste whatsoever, the chicken salad can’t say as I didn’t taste it.Service was ok, very friendly waitresses.Atmosphere absolutely unacceptable for the evening I went, the bar was full and staff managed to lay them out to our table which was very unpleasant.One thing to add the wine wall…absolutely outrageous, a Italian restaurant with no Italian wine nomination…

Quick service, despite it being bustling in there. Hats off to the wait staff. Generally good atmos. Food left something to be desired, certainly not bad though. I will say the prices there aren't absurd.

The food was amazing, we went on the @doodandfrink week, we wanted to try everything on the menu. The atmosphere is fab, such a lovely Bistro.

What can you say. It's changed hands recently and is awesome. Obviously awesome means busy, so book early. Great atmosphere, staff, food, and locals love it. Not saying but, only 2 minute taxi from the harbour. There are few places in Torquay this good...

Food was good but unfortunately hugely let down by the service. 1 hour from arrival to the starters being served (including the olives). Glasses/plates not cleared between courses. Long waits between each course. Could not bear to wait for another long gap to get the desserts. So left early.

+veThe food was excellent!! Good quality produce, well cooked and presented. Very reasonable priced, and this far outweighed the negatives - see below. All in all...yes, we'll be going back to Portofino ..!-veBooked breakfast for 9.30 but in reality they don't serve until 10... so we spent the first half an hour drinking our coffee and juice then had to pay again for a coffee with our meal! (Maybe a free top-up would have been a nice gesture?)Interior is dark and dingy akin to their evening offering we assume. Something a little brighter would be more conducive to daylight hoursi.e. breakfast, morning coffee and lunchtimes. Take a leaf out of 'the Ivy' perhaps? (Sorry about the pun!)

Lovely restaurant, great friendly staff, very nice wine. Unfortunately I ordered the pork chop which was disappointing, bit boring, bland, left hungry, unlike my companions who were very happy. Will return and order something else.

Fantastic. Really great buzzy atmosphere without being loud. Service was perfect. Food was too. Menu initially looked a little limited but easy to find dishes we all enjoyed.
