The key broke in the door lock. I was at work and my wife had our 2 kids with here. It was snowing and extremely cold. I called City locks and spoke to Ian. He said he was on his way and would be with her within the hour. He arrived within 20 minutes and gained entry into the house letting my wife and children inside straight away. He then replaced the lock and gave us the spare keys. I would definately use again and highly recommend. A local family business who is reliable, eager to help and was on time. Job was done and like new before he left and was very fairly priced. Thank Ian great job

Rang tonight at 1637 key snapped off in lock and needed to get dogs out of house, advised they would ring back in 10mins. Still waiting, thankfully lock assist came to my aid within 15mins had lock off and new one sorted. Happy dogs

I have used this company, City Locks, on a number of occasions now. I can safely say that they have always been reliable, professional and sensibly priced. Whats more they care about their reputation and customers. A rare thing these days!

Replace lock to cottage. Professional service - arrived when expected and decent price too. Recommended.

My elderly mother engaged CityLocks Co to replace her F/D mortise lock. Within 2 days there was a problem, the security curtain engaged when she tried to use the key. She called CityLocks out and he re-set the curtain. It happened again 3 days later. This time my mother was charged a £57 call-out fee. He reset it again but did not investigate further. He then recommended we simply abandon the new lock and quoted a price of £120 to fit another lock above it. He refused to do anything more to the lock installed 5 days before, or to refund the call-out fee. We later established the installation work was poor. Pleasant enough chap, but poor service and workmanship; imposing a call-out fee then not sorting problem is unforgivable, he didn't seem to care about sorting the problem.Can’t recommend this firm based on our experience.[Further] We’ve just read Citylocks’ response. It is easy to talk about customer care on a web-site. What’s important is what a firm actually does when things don’t go to plan. There was a problem with the installation of this lock, we would not otherwise have called the gentleman out repeatedly. The problem became obvious when it was exposed for inspection. Had Citylocks investigated further I’m sure they’d have identified the problem themselves. We stand by our review, it is not malicious. We note that other customers appear happy with their work, I am sure Citylocks can do a quality job most of the time, we can only comment on our own experience, which left us very unhappy. We leave others to form their own opinion on how Citylocks really views customer care, noting the tone and content of their response here.

Just had City Locks out to gain entry to my front door which had jammed completely shut. They opened in minutes and the whole multi point unit was found to be faulty. They had a new one in their van and fitted it straight away. The door now works better than when it was new. Fantastic service and I would reommend them to anybody.
