10/10 amazing meal! My favourite place to eat in Shetland you are not only guaranteed the most amazing meal, but you will get a great drink, and have the most amazing attentive service from the most amazing team of people! I cannot recommend Maryfield enough!

Fantastic hotel in many ways, courtyard overlooking the ferries it’s really beautiful with nice views, food is absolutely top notch, worth the money had steak two nights in a row was great, two things that are small but worth mentioning, most of the night from very early all lights I’m the hallway are off and I had to use my torch on my phone to find my way down, it wasn’t overly late either, the first night there was quite a few locals in the bar and it was a bit rowdy so I avoided sitting downstairs at all to finish off some things on my laptop but in all honesty if people are having a good time I can’t complain it’s just a notable thing. Would definitely come back, was booked for work and will be asking to stay here again. Rooms are very comfy and to an extremely high standard.

I arrived as a walking puddle, having been caught in a spot of monumental rain as I completed my walk around the bottom half of Bressay.i was welcomed in, despite my state, and proceeded to have a superb time eating a yummy carrot and coriander soup, beer, and spirits with some locals.a mad, and slightly wobbly dash 100m to the ferry back to lerwick roubded out a wonderful experience

Absolutely stunning and authentic manor with a stunning perfectly kept garden with a secret trail to take for a little adventure. A beautiful view through the stunning back gate over lerwick harbour and a brilliant host for the day. Couldn't fault it and look forward to our next visit.

We had a meal here for a bit if luxury while on Bressay in our campervan and after doing Bressay Parkrun in the morning (the hotel was fully booked or we'd have stayed as well.)From walking in to a marvellous display of their wines, almost an art feature, we had a fantastic time. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, particularly about the wine we had (the chocolate merlot from South Africa). We had soup of the day and scallops with black pudding as starters, sunflower shaped (and sized) filled pasta and seafood stew for mains, then cheese and biscuits for afters (with port).The food was lovely and we had a lovely time. Highly recommended and with the trip over from Lerwick on the ferry.

Had a wonderful time at the Maryfield last night , was my first time , the food was lovely and the staff was really friendly and welcoming and made our visit all the better, can't wait to visit again.

Was there for my wife's birthday in a party of 10. The food was tasty and plentiful, the service was excellent and the drinks flowed freely. We all enjoyed our evening and left well fed and merry. What else can you ask for? Will definitely be back.

My wife and I went having pre order the seafood platter as it must be pre order. When we arrive the outside look like we were in Damascus , but the restaurant is very nice so is the lounge. Adam the waiter was great good service, but the owner James look like a tramp very scruffy, the reason for my rating is the food was ice cold and at £75 that’s not cheap and that’s on top of the £21 fee for the ferry. We went their on recommendation but I say avoid it at all cost DONT GO.

This is a perfect place to stay in the Shetland islands. It is a short car ferry ride away (7 minutes) from Lerwick and allows one to experience the true nature of this magical place. James and Nelly have created a welcoming environment. The meals we had were first rate and the rooms are well appointed. The negative review below does not represent our experience at all.
