Best shop in Huddersfield. Really good service, the opening times are really specific, the shop is always open and the friendly service makes the experience even better. 10/10 newsagent.

Rude Nasty staff

Absoloutly disappointing, everytime i go they are closed, there is no set opening times, I needed to pick up a parcel as its down the road from me. having to make multiple trips. Owner seems bit rude too.

Really rude staff

Unbelievably lousy service. Today was the first time I have ever had to visit Ryans and I can promise you it will be the last. Took in a parcel for delivery (as suggested by eBay). As soon as the guy behind the counter saw my large parcel (about 100 cm in and 7Kg) he starts doing the old theatrical head shake to let me know he wasn't happy - I thought at first I was in the wrong shop but no - the moment I reached the counter he's saying this is ridiculous

Unbelievably rude member of staff.First of all it’s very rare of me to leave a bad review however this is the second time I have a bad experience with the same man who claims to be the manager.. I am utterly flabbergasted as to how he is running the shop.Today I popped in to drop off a parcel.. instantly upon entering the shop the man shook his head at me with a not very welcoming look and said ‘ I am going to have to start refusing these’ I then responded with ‘ oh okay why is that’ to his response ‘ well have you seen the size of my board this is ridiculous’ (me very confused and feeling a bit uncomfortable) said ‘okay how am I supposed to know that?’ He then replied ‘right I’m not accepting it’ obviously I was absolutely baffled and said ‘I don’t understand what the issue is?’ He then responded with ‘ I’m not accepting it because of your attitude and saying how am I supposed to know’ at this point I was quite mad and said ‘you’re the one with the attitude’ and he still refused me so at this point I did call him a impolite word which on my part was probably not the best way to go about the situation however I am a 24 year old woman who felt very intimidated and in shock at the lack of customer service and as mentioned previously I have had a situation before with him where he was rude to me about opening time.. I had mentioned his closing time because he had shut early to his response was ‘ don’t tell me what my hours are’I think the owners need to seriously consider who they have running the shop and maybe give him some re training in customer service Because I have never experienced anything like this in my life.. and I’m clearly not the first judging from all the reviews on here.

They don’t have any specific closing times . Really annoying, you have to chase them to go there.

The opening times on here are wrong. They seem to never be open. Even before 4pm. I need to pick up a bunch of parcels. I paid for a next day delivery and it's now been 4 days only due to their inconsistent opening times.
