Kingswood Surgery

All I needed is prescription for antibiotics and I was refused :( nobody is helping me. I don't want to live anymore with this pain.

I've been with this surgery since 1994. Never had a problem until 2010 when it appears money became their sole goal. If you are a complicated medical beat it buster you don't stand a chance of an appointment! I stood in that empty surgery yesterday after 2 months of trying to get a routine app. CBT she said 'Call Back Thursday' well I laughed. 1 Dr only works 1 day a week (Tuesday) otherdays it's private work. So where are the others? Why was the surgery devoid of people if there's no appointments!!!Now I'm 3 mths without a particular brain med and lack of communication from from those receptionists I've moved to a friendlier surgery.

Used to be a lot better appointments not so easy to get now since they joined up with Carfax Street surgery

Today I needed an emergency appointment and a lady called Jenny booked me in immediately so I’ve seen a doctor within half an hour and Laura, receptionist, she helped me with my prescription. But Laura is probably the best receptionist at this surgery…kind and professional every single time. Thank you all for the great work you do!!

I received a letter asking me to make an appointment for my annual revue. I was given an appointment on 18 Nov. I rcd a call on that morning to cancel due to nurse off sick and was given 25 Nov. Turned up at surgery, couldn’t auto book in so went to reception where I was told there was no booking. Have now been given 1 Dec. 25 Nov was for 12.20 not a time I would be likely to dream up. You asked me to book, I didn’t ask to and I am supposed to trust you with my health? Total waste of time!

This would have been 4-5 stars if they had actually cared about their patients that are ill instead of threatening them with a reduction of their medication. I might have cancer but whatever it is that I have makes me unwell and along with my fibro, getting to the surgery is a big task, especially when I need to make myself available almost 24/7 as a carer myself and have hardly anyone to rely on. When explaining my situation to the receptionist, she didn't budge either. This is pure and simple abuse. I would go to another surgery but this is the closest one to me and sadly, they're all mostly awful. Kingswood truly don't really care. The Dr I spoke to however was wonderful and there are some other lovely Drs and Nurses but sadly the rest of Kingswood is just awful.

One hour of waiting for a blood test !!! I took 30 minutes off work especially because the clinic does not have late blood test appointments and no very early appointments. not taking into account the patients' time.In the morning the phone is still busy and making doctors appointment takes about 3 weeks!

Can't fault the Dr's in surgery when we can eventually get an appointment. But the receptionists are extremely rude. There's no need for it, I rang for a full blood count due to new symptoms from current procedures in regards to my original smear and she said I don't need it and to get the hospital to do it. As ive been back and forth having precedures with the hospital for 6 months she told me i havent seen them at all. When ive told her shes looking at the new refferal and not the past 6 months! After arguing for the appointment she then said I don't need a face to face and she's only going to get a Dr will call me she also refused to put my new symptoms on the notes for the Dr and said well you can tell him that! So rude, they may need to ask for a reason but when you are a receptionist surely be kind and compassionate as you don't know what people are going through!!! I hope they read these reviews and see where the surgery is going wrong!

Just moved to the area had to change surgery due to catchment area kingswood is much better than my last gp surgery every time I've had to make an appointment always got seen the same day very good service

Don't go to Doctors much, not been in over 2 years. When I ring, the receptionist tells me my problem is not urgent. Are they qualified to give that advice & they then offer you with a routine appointment but not today. Reviews about the rudeness of staff on here, I disagree. There is assertiveness in their voices not Rude but a little aggression in there that might be construed as Rude.I gave them 1 stars bcos I am not used to waiting for an appointment (bigger surgery) or ringing after 1300 on a Thursday.My reviews on maps help people choose where to stop or go, & my experience of that place are all honest.
