Can’t fault this practice. As someone with lifelong dentist phobia EVERYONE at this practice has been reassuring and empathetic helping me to overcome my fears. Highly recommend.I’m a NHS patient but feel I’m getting 5star treatment.

Don't complain or you will be rejected! My wife and I have been with this practice for some years now and were very satisfied until a change of dentist was forced upon us by ours leaving. We had no initial concerns aside from the fact my wife does have a bit of a phobia about dentists and the approach of our new one wasn't as sympathetic to her needs but in the current climate we felt we had to persevere. After a few visits I began to have concerns about the standard of my treatment. On two consecutive visits, the dentist made comments about discolouration in my teeth. I thought this very strange, as any dentist I have had in the past would carry out a 'scrape and polish', but none was forthcoming, the explanation being that this was not covered on the NHS. When I consulted the NHS site I found it was covered - if the dentist considered it necessary. By the fact this was mentioned would convey to me that the dentist did think it was necessary. I expressed my concern with the reception Manager and on my next visit, a scrape and polish was carried out. My concerns were satisfactorily put to rest.More recently and more seriously, my wife had a crown fitted last November onto one of her top back teeth. The crown broke in April and was renewed , however the advice given to my wife was that she should not eat on that tooth, the crown was there for 'cosmetic purposes only'. After addressing this comment to the practice, the dentist has since denied ( in writing) that they ever said it and just meant she should not eat on it for 3-4 hours due to the cement needing to cure. If this was correct, where did the 'for cosmetic purposes only' come from?Following this, I requested a change of dentist within the same practice. I was reluctant to give any negative feedback but the reception Manager insisted if I was to make any headway with changing our dentist. This was all within the past few weeks and we are now in possession of two letters, rejecting both my wife and I as patients, with no alternative dentist proffered. No further consultation was entered into , we were just rejected by the practice for expressing our concerns about the standard and quality of the treatment given. I hasten also to add, our concerns were raised at all times in a civil and courteous manner. For a practice that considers themselves a 'centre of excellence', I think quite the opposite. The way in which our concerns were dealt with was highly unprofessional. It is one thing losing confidence in one of the dentists but to be treated in such a way by the practice is appalling. I would only recommend this practice if you are prepared to accept what is on offer without question, in other words 'grin and bear it'.In conclusion, very very disappointed.** Since leaving this practice my wife's crown has come off again, with no means of redress to this issue within the practice (and none offered) we are now £250 lighter for treatment that has failed. Our new dentist has advised no further work on the tooth as there is no foundation for a crown left, which begs the question, why was this carried out in the first place?

I attended the practice on 8th June 2022 @ 9:15am for a paid check-up by Dr Sean Harris. Ive put in a complaint regarding his professionalism, people skills and manners.I am local business owner myself and work directly with the public across all professions including dentists. I feel there was no need for his personal opinion including the manner in which he put it across regarding my treatment carried out elsewhere.I left upset and feeling verbally attacked in front of other members of your staff ultimately belittling me. This is something you would not expect from a professional establishment.A week later I still havnt heard anything back regarding this even though it says to allow up to 3 working days.I left a review on their Facebook page only to discover they deactivated their facebook page afterwards. SHAMEFUL

Looking for a new dentist - the responses to reviews here are appalling. Lack of professionalism in replying to reviews is surely to put other new patients off!

Not taking on new NHS patients due to the covid situation. That's a very poor excuse. I am sick and tired of dentists, doctors, the NHS in general and other businesses using covid an an excuse not to provide the service WE are paying for and THEY are being paid for. I imagine they're taking on new private patients though.
