Silverlake

We stayed in number 19, Tally Ho for our first visit to Silverlake. We have been to the sister site in Cirencester many times, this time, we chose to explore a new site and area. Our property benefited from the Activity Pack which meant we could use the site's bikes, canoes, paddle boards whenever we liked; which we all enjoyed. Our house was great: modern, smart and spacious. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The site itself is huge, lots of space to explore. There is on-going building work of the next phase in the background. It didnt really affect us. The Dorset area was beautiful, Silverlake is well located, not far from the sea including Durdle Door and Dorchester town. We will return. In a year or two when the trees have grown and the site matured, SIlverlake will be even better.

This is our 3rd trip and unfortunately we feel it's not as lovely as it used to be. Good bits first...Fantastic location (close to local beaches, lovely pubs etc), stunning setting, accommodation is always a good set up. Tennis courts and all weather pitch are also good.The negatives:For the first time there’s been a number of loud parties at houses around us with families walking past loudly at 11pm at night. Not something we’ve experienced before as half of the appeal is the tranquility.Dishwasher had to be emptied by us on arrival and doesn't smell very nice at all. Very uncomfy pillow and the dog friendly property has nothing on the garden gate to stop it escaping.The spa pool isn't particularly warm, even in August and my kids were freezing within 20 minutes. It's meant to be 28 degrees but we asked the spa receptionist if they'd checked the temperature and she said she hadn't.It's £60 a day to hire a canoe and no option to take one out for just an hour (it's only a small lake after all). Previously these were included in the price of your stay but this is not the case anymore. I don't mind a small charge but £60 for a paddle?

I have visited Habitat Escapes sister site in the Cotswolds a couple of times, with family and friends, and on both trips had a great experience.It was because of those memories that I booked a break here at Silverlake. A couple of days before there was an unforeseen issue with the property I had booked. Unfortunately the initial correspondence regarding this wasn't particularly supportive. However when I reached out to the Customer Services Team I spoke with Bev. She immediately understood my concerns and was extremely proactive in making sure they were all resolved.By the time we arrived I felt confident that the issues had been dealt with and that we could relax and enjoy our break.Silverlake is a fabulous site. It provided us with the relaxing break we had hoped for. All the staff we met were professional, welcoming and friendly. We visited and used the services at The Activity Hub, Spa (Jo and Hannah were both fantastic) and the Hurricane Bar.My family and I would definitely return to this site.A huge thank you to Bev especially...you honestly went above and beyond to ensure the stay we hoped for was the holiday we received!

We have visited Silverlake twice with 3 generations and all of us have an amazing time. We have stayed in the same house both times which easily accommodated us all and had the added bonus of lake access.Whilst on site we rented paddleboards and kayaks which are on the expensive side for a few days but worth it.We also made use of the pool, tennis courts, football pitch and fishing lake.The complex is only 20 minutes from Weymouth making it ideal for beach days as well, we will definitely be returning in 2024.

Amazing place for a get away with the whole family or even by yourself! You can rent them but we have friends that own one. So we took full advantage of the facilities.

We just had the most wonderful break at Silverlake Dorset and had to leave a 5 star review. Firstly our trip was postponed from Christmas due to Covid and the company very kindly moved us to February.The home Bulrushes was beautiful, modern, spacious and full of useful things like games for kids, all you need in a kitchen, toiletries.The facilities across the site are clean, beautiful and the swimming pool is stunning.We will definitely return. Special thanks also to the lady at the Hurricane Spa who let us know a storm was coming so we were able to get home safly.

We booked x2 houses to stay in over the period that we were getting married, in order for the Bridal Party to get ready/a mini-moon after our wedding itself. Both houses (Avalon & Skyfall) were immaculately presented, clean and comfortable. The Estate itself is beautiful, with attentive and professional staff, who were genuinely excited for our occasion and went to every length to ensure we were accommodated. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend a stay here. A visit to the Hurricane Spa (onsite) is also a must, with out of this world treatments, thank you Jo and Hannah!

This is a truly lovely resort. We met up here in mid March for a get together of four families and it was the perfect location. We rented two properties Agua De Plata and Overton Island 1, which were a stones throw from each other and worked perfectly. Both were spec’d to a high standard. The pool was warm and there were lots of fun bits for the kids to explore (including two parks and a zip line). The pizzas on Saturday night are not to be missed. We’re already talking about coming back next year!

Spent my partners birthday here with the kids. Very lovely stay, very accommodating with catering and the birthday cake. Plenty of choice on accommodation type and the pool was brilliant for the kids, open spaces for the dogs too

Coastal luxury in a natural environment: We discovered Silverlake earlier this year and have returned twice already, due to incessant pestering from the kids. The kids adore all the wildlife, the playgrounds and the space and we love the infinity pool and the proximity to the gorgeous Dorset coastline. This is a really special place.
