Very unhappy with administration team. I moved into this GP last year and they keep deleting my account without telling me even though I have told them my new address since day 1 and discussed with doctor too. As a result having issues with my repeat prescription. I have just seen one doctor and he was great though.

Lucy the pharmacist went up and beyond to help me with my medications. She explained how they were worked. She advised on the research and what sites to visit to gain more information. She consulted with the doctors on my behalf. Result one happy, more knowledgeable patient. She phoned back when she said she would. 10 out of 10 for that alone. Thank you Lucy.

I moved locally from another part of the country. First thing that happened was some of my medications were changed without any communication with me. I eventually moved to my own home further away but because I was undergoing several surgical procedures I felt continuity of GP was clinically important, even though I hardly ever see anyone and certainly would never expect a home visit. Am 7 days post spinal surgery, still housebound and moving only slowly and painfully. This morning received a letter throwing me off the list and was told to register elsewhere. I haven’t asked for anything post operatively but apparently it is because they can’t do a home visit. I would never have asked for one. So as I can’t get out yet and am housebound and disabled, I am effectively GP-less until I can get out again. What wonderful care! So incredibly patient-centred! Not even a call to check I am ok and can even get out to find somewhere else. If you are looking for a really indifferent practice with staff who regard patients as a nuisance, this is the practice for you. I saw a GP just before the surgery and explained I would get somewhere else once I was back on my feet and it was important to me to feel supported during the surgical episode in a practice who knew me. She could understand that rationale but obviously for the partners that was not good enough and so they wait a few days post op and remove me anyway. So let’s hope I stay well till I can sort this out but my advice would be look elsewhere for care.

At 84 years of age, disabled with hearing difficulties, I am informed by reception that an ear syringe with/by nurse not possible as (quote) “ this has not been available since Covid and suggest an appointment be made withPorterbrook surgery”.To repeat the opening statement, does the response to my request therefore indicate a new low in Nethergreen Surgery ?

My 90 year old arthritic mother was left confused and very nearly weeping after speaking to receptionists at this surgery in an attempt to get a telephone appointment to speak with a doctor despite waiting in a telephone queue from the moment the surgery opened and hearing a recorded message stating that all the days appointments had been taken mid call. She was also told that the surgery no longer carried out the ear syringing procedure and told to put some olive oil in her ears! An offer of an appointment at a surgery even further away or evening appointments to go for face to face appointments proved unsuitable due my mothers limited mobility.A second attempt at getting a telephone appointment was more successful though not until next week asking again about hear hearing problem got a ‘we don’t do that’After speaking with a District Nurses department who were very helpful and informed me that any hearing issues had to be addressed by a referral from a GP adding that some receptionists can be evil!I thought doctors had a duty care for their patients.

Had an appointment with sister Abi Parker. She was wonderful. Really kind, empathetic and down to earth. She put me at ease throughout. Thank you.Additionally, I’ve needed to speak to a Doctor a few times since moving to Sheffield. I’ve always managed to speak with someone the same day, they have always been kind and reassuring. I’ve really appreciated their input and advice in helping me.The NHS is generally busy, so when I’ve called I’ve sometimes been number 37 in the queue. HOWEVER, I’ve never waited in the queue more than 15mins. It goes down very quickly, which I assume is due to the swift work from the reception staff. Thank you.Compliments all round. Wonderful GP practice :)

My elderly mother is a patient here and I could not fault the service - lovely helpful receptionists, excellent GP’s who have been fantastic on the occasions when mum was really ill and had to go to hospital. Exceptional care all round, thanks to all staff.

Dr Smart said he wanted me to do a blood test so I got up at 6:30am and made my way to the hospital. Waited in line there were 15 patients in front of me. When it came to be my turn the nurse got my medical records up to then tell me there’s no records for you to be having a blood test. So a complete waste of a trip, would not recommend.

Impossible appointments system for anyone but particularly working people. It beggars belief that a surgery would make it so difficult for the majority of their patients. As appointments don’t become available until 8am, the time when most people are travelling to work it is impossible to either phone or use the online facility. If you’re able to go into work later there’s still little chance of getting an appointment as despite calling bang in 8.00, I have been as far down the queue as number 31! By the time I got to speak with someone all appointments were gone. To add insult to injury the staff don’t care. I was told this morning that since Covid the practise was no longer allowing people to book advance appointments, it suits them to only allow on the day appointments. It seems the doctors think helping sick people is an inconvenience. The receptionist this morning was cold and unhelpful despite the distress I explained this was causing. She made the comment that plenty of people do get through, but of course she’s no idea about those that don’t. The surgery has a couple of nice doctors but overall it’s uncaring and unhelpful staff make for a very poor service which could even lead to someone dying due to late diagnosis.
