Machine Mart Brighton

I purchased a petrol generator brand-new from machine mart, within two hours it had shook itself to bits literally, the screws that come out and it was leaking fluid from the bottom. I returned it to the store and was told it would take four weeks to be inspected, it was returned to me supposedly repaired and in perfect working order, it wasn’t! Again two hours use saw it shake it self to bits, this time the petrol tank came off and spilled petrol all over the hot generator which was incredibly dangerous. Again it was returned to the store and this time I stated I wanted a full refund!I was refused a refund and once again it was screwed back together and returned to myself.I refuse to use the generator as it is absolutely lethality dangerous, and I cannot sell it.Basically I just lost a load of money!Machine mart‘s generators are not only faulty but they are dam right dangerous! Warning do not buy a generator from machine mart!

After visiting the Brighton shop I been put off buying anything from them, 2 staff one realy nice salesman the other was probably the manager with attitude, salesman help me look around the equipment but when I asked questions the answer had to come from the manager behind the desk and his replies where very blunt and arsey, when I ask questions on the make of engine was told by him we dont give out where there made and asked about warranty he replied to you none so i basically I left with out purchasing and ordered on line with a different company who could answer my questions and where I felt happy to purchase from, think new management is needed at this store,

While on holiday I felt the need to buy some staples. I was pointed in the right direction and dealt with by friendly, helpful staff.

Super friendly and helpful people working here - helped me get two stripped screws out of some vintage Ronson pocket lighters I had recently purchased when I had all but lost hope (which now work)! Will definitely be returning here soon for any of my power tools/machinery needs!

The gents here always provide top notch service and help me find whatever I need. Even when I've forgotten to pick up my order they re-assemble the bits i needed out of their storeroom and don't even remotely kick up a fuss.Top notch service, keep it up guys.

I have only been to this store once and that was several years ago. It was difficult to get to from where I live, the parking was all but nonexistent. Not good if purchasing large or heavy awkward items.However the staff were friendly and helpful, which made it a pleasant shopping experience.
