If you are a student, or the parent of one, please please PLEASE do not rent with this agency.The property was filthy when we moved in (mouldy fridge and cupboards, literal rubbish strewn on the floor - see photos) but that was only the start. Within two weeks of moving in the plaster had fallen off the ceiling in the hallway, the debris was left for days. We then experienced months of black mould all up the walls of our house. This was only dealt with in February when prospective students started viewing the house for the next year and saw how bad it was (we had first reported it in back in October). They had given us a dehumidifier after months of asking for something to be done, but then promptly took it away to give to another property after a few weeks, despite us begging them not to. To top it off, at the end of our tenancy they had the utter audacity to take a cleaning fee from our deposit, despite the disgusting state the house was in when we moved there and everything we went through during our tenancy.Dealing with all of this in third year was extremely distressing and stressful.Everything was handled by Coapt with complete disregard for our health, mental and physical.I implore you to find another house, it is not worth it!

My partner and I have just moved into a flat in Hove. We have found the whole process to be very easy, despite lots of people wanting the flat at the open house last month! A special mention to Zoe who was very knowledgable at our viewing and gave us lots of helpful tips for renting for the first time. Thanks Coapt!

Fantastic company to deal with. Always putting their customers first by ensuring the properties they rent are in the best possible condition. You’ll always be greeted with a smile when you walk into their lovely modern office, and they will assist you with all your needs without hesitation. Definitely give Coapt a try for both renting and selling your home.

Co apt have been completely and utterly useless as a company. We moved in 3 months ago and they have already proved how incapable they are at taking care of their tenants and properties. They are awful people. To start, we were left for over 30 minutes in the poruing rain for a viewing in which they never even turned up for. We have also had so many issues with the property we rented as students. We had no water for 5 days and were offered no compensation or even apology, took a lot of phone calls for them finally to sort it out. Lots of things were broken or missing. We emailed about a broken radiator and never heard back, so have no heat in one bedroom. A flatmate cut themselves on a broken mirror they had just left. There is really bad water damage in one of the bedrooms from what we assume is an hole in the roof and after a week of them saying they will sort it, the man couldn’t get in because our front door is broken from the rain (this door has been like this since our first viewing an entire year ago). Our front door also is too small as slugs and other insects crawl under it and infest our kitchen whenever it rains. Co Apt once again did nothing about this despite it being a huge health hazard. Overall, terrible experience and I would never ever recommend these people to anybody and I’m sure there are many issues to come as our tenancy has only just begun. If any more issues arise I will be updating this review.
