Highly recommend! We came for a ninety minute guided ride, having had no riding experience. Staff were extremely kind, great guides provided, overall lovely 11/10 experience!

Haldon Riding Stables
We went out for a ride and had a thoroughly fab time. The owner is friendly and reassuring, the horses are safe and the views amazing. We were taken out for a 1.5 hour ride, they were flexible and suited what we had asked for. The horses were suited to the ability of us and the girls who took us out offered the chance to push into a trot if we wanted. The area is stunning, we are going back soon.

Well organised, happy healthy ponies. Lessons are beautifully run and children are encouraged throughout. A great place for lessons for all ages and of all abilities.

Oh my. What a wonderful place. I took my son for his first proper ride on a horse. We went out for a 1.5hr hack with a lovely lady called Pheobe. Even though my son was very anxious and doesn't instantly talk to new people, she was great with getting him out of his shell. She was very patient and kind and told me what I needed to do (which wasn't much) to be able to get my son going on more adventurous hacks where he wouldn't need to be led. I highly recommend these riding stables. They aren't stuck up like so many others I've been too. I got to enjoy a great passion of mine with my son and for that I'm very thankful. We will certainly be back.

We booked last minute as our granddaughter wanted to go pony trekking and what a lovely warm welcome we got all so friendly and happy to answer all our horse questions, and we had a lovely 1hr hack that we really enjoyed, thank you so much.

I have weekly riding lessons up here. They are the friendliest owners of a stable I have ever found and teach lessons which really help me to progress as a rider. Horses are well cared for and clean and live as a herd. I cannot recommend this stable more.

Haldon Riding Stables
Spectacular view over Exeter as you ride through Haldon forest. This stable has exclusive access to the woodlands for a unique riding experience. Leaders took more advanced riders off for a canter. 1.5 hours = 30quid. Calm horses. Highly recommend.

My daughters both booked on for the hour long hack. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Very friendly staff, lovely location and they loved the ponies, especially Gromit and Sassy. Very reasonable price. Would recommend.
