Very cheap food with lovely soups for lunch , near canal for a stop on a bike but up a hill

I was working nearby and popped in for lunch. I had the soup, followed by the days special which were ribs in gravy served with mash, baked sauerkraut and a fine chopped coleslaw. The helpings were generous and everything was as it should be. The price was relatively cheap for food of this quality.

Went in to order, I was ignored, staff member didn't say a word, then I asked if I can order, he suddenly waken up and said no, someone else will come, then he joked about something with someone else and left the building. Then I asked lady if I can order, no, food not available...

Came in 4mins past 9pm where it says the restaurant is open till 10pm and they refused to serve us as the kitchen closed at 9pm. Seriously?! Besides, it’s not like there was anybody in the restaurant. It has happened to me in other restaurants too but there I’m just informed I’m gonna have this and this much time to eat and it’s all good. Terrible service, won’t be back.

Although food is good it's difficult to know what to order as most of menu in Polish & staff insist on only speaking Polish. Also not always made to feel comfortable eating here.

I like the food (most of the time). The dish of the day is served quickly and it's in good price.Waiting for other food from the menu takes up to an hour.They give free kompot" but it's way too sweet.."

I had 8 dumplings for £10.50. Less than average taste, soaked in water.Tables are not regularly cleaned.”Kompot”also was poor quality and very sweet.
