J B Leitch Ltd

Hoping this review will get me a response! My father has passed away and they have been sending me legal action letters for unpaid property management fees, with absolutely ludicrous legal fees and not responding to emails to get this resolved and I can never get them on the phone. Causing distress to me and my family in an already horrible time in ours lives. Disgusting, if you're too busy, either get more staff or take on less clients. If I didn't respond the way they ignore me I'd be in court.

I had the displeasure of dealing with one of the paralegals today, I won’t mention or name but it was like speaking to the dead, I agree with what others have said on here, they have no interest in listening.The car crash of a company named homeground have yet again sent out ground rent invoices to the wrong address even after two letters advising them of a new address but according to j b Leitch paralegals ( secretary) it’s my fault they did not receive the letters and I should of chased my invoice ?This is not the first time homeground has failed to update my new address.Home ground has offered a reduction of £145.00 as a gesture of goodwill, I see this more as a admission of guilt, but j b Leitch still want the extortionate fee for one letter,sent to me, both these companies need investigating as a matter of urgency.I have informed j b Leitch I will not be paying their extortionate fee and, will only pay what is owed in ground rent and will not pay for the incompetence of others IE homeground but, the paralegal at j b Leitch just cannot comprehend this for some reason !

This company will not listen that I had not received any letters regarding ground rent. They just want to charge you extortionate expenses . I owed £400 & they have charged me an extra £1092 for charges. I just couldn’t get anywhere. I spoke to my solicitor & she couldn’t believe what I was telling her. Disgusting company!!!!

Extremely shocked at the way they communicate with people, particularly how I was spoken to on the phone. Unable to advise on simple matters and unprofessional manner when corresponding both via email and on the phone. Asked a question numerous times back and forth for 7 months, which was not answered until I made the phone call, of which I was spoken to awfully. Take 4 - 8 weeks to respond to communications yet demand responses to those communications within 5 days.

If I could leave 0 I would. I have contacted them and they said they weren’t dealing with me no longer and to contact the client. The client ignored me! My dad died suddenly a year ago and if I didn’t have the money to pay the ground rent then as I have a family with 2 disabled children. Then I’m definitely not going to have nearly £3,000 now.

Is a cheating money company ?This company chased me for the ground rent but they have sent me the different apartment numbers and wrong account name which is messy and awful legal document filing and management. Since they couldn’t provide the evidence to prove I had received the ground rent payment letter, and they charged me for “so called” legal and administrative charge for late penalty , it is unreasonable and unacceptable. The “so called” legal and administrative charge is double my total 3 years ground rent!!!!

Only got 1 star because ZERO isn't an option.The charge they have added for supposed work is utterly ridiculous - they have sent a standard letter and changed the name, address and amount. Please ! Over £500 to send a generic letter template.

Oh my, this company is ridiculous. I find that this solicitor company takes us hostile. The letters we receive are simply unprofessional. The company workers have no experience what so ever and the customer service is terrible. We are seeing fraud in plain sight, and they are chasing bags. The company do not even have a headquarter or even an in person place to visit. The letters we receive don't even have a title and name. This concludes to me believing that this is a freelancer or a 1 person company. This is Fraud.

To cut a long story short, I first heard of JB Leitch after I received an email out of the blue from them saying they have been given the job of collecting the management charges relating to my property.Unfortunately, the management company (RMGltd) of my block mistakenly thought I was living at the property in question rather than letting it out to a tenant.I phoned JB Leitch a few times to discuss the case and they were always polite and respectful. Of course, I had the proof that the management company had been told by my conveyancer where to send my post so their fees were withdrawn.I blame my tenant for all of this...If only he had passed my mail onto the letting agent (which was a condition in the rental agreement) all of this would have been avoided!I will stick to freehold properties in the future!

Can never get in touch. Told I had fees to pay, to which I sent all receipts and invoices I have to prove that all is paid... they went very quiet. Unprofessional, disorganised. Can I charge them for misinformation? Fed up of businesses who play the game to suit them, but when the buck is on the other foot think going quiet or an apology is adequate... absolute jokeEdited 16.2.23Interesting that a complaint online is responded to much quicker than the several emails that I have sent to several of your email accounts.
