I started writing this while I was waiting for the College's telephone to be answered. What I wanted to report was that I has just been spat upon by one of two Highfield schoolgirls, in their uniform, whilst walking in a westerly direction along Harrowside, South Shore Blackpool. The two girls were walking behind me, and catching up slowly. The spitting incident happened just as they were drawing level. The spitter was the older and bigger of the two. It seemed quite clear that I was the intended target, and I believe at least some of the spittle settled on me.The spitter then issued a clearly insincere apology, alleging it was not aimed at me, and then continued to spit onto the pavement at intervals, also turning round frequently, probably to gauge reaction, and made at least on comment about me not being able to walk very quickly (I am using two crutches while recovering from a broken femur).I found this offensive, and some may have considered it to be threatening. I also believe that spitting at or onto a person has been held to be classed as assault. One of our staff has informed me that we have have images of the pair on one of our CCTV cameras. I feel certain that a teacher or other College staff member would be able to identify them.It will be more than interesting to see and hear the College response to this.

I left this school earlier this year and I’m not going to lie but parts of it were a nightmare but I got through it. Not all teachers are bad there but some do abuse their power and others don’t use it at all and let the kids who are always in trouble get away with the things they do. Bullying is a big issue at this school but teachers don’t do anything about it when they see it. The new head teacher here is in my opinion trying to help but does bring in unnecessary things to offer the school. For example the ‘school anthem’ it isn’t going to inspire anything apart from people becoming targets to bullies. I think the head teacher needs to listen to what the pupils are saying instead of just seeing them as kids. Also for the students who don’t want to read out in class don’t make them. Also if they don’t put their hand up they don’t appreciate being picked on for the answer. They also need to make lessons more engaging for the students because some of them need to be motivated to come into school because no doubt they hate waking up early in the morning to go to somewhere they don’t like and don’t want to be for a number of hours. On a positive note attending this school I did meet some amazing people and have created so many memories at this hell hole. If you where planning on sending your son or daughter here, well I mean it’s better than south shore and most of the teachers are alright so go for it.

I wouldn’t send dogs to this school it’s a disgrace to human society my children went here from south shore academy within 2 years moved them back to south shore where she is much happier. They don’t have the teachers for lessons there all substitutes and they wonder why kids fail there exams. They don’t tackle bullies had it all with this school complete joke wants knocking down and teachers want sacking
