Lila’s Laundrette

Great laundry for those traveling and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg at hotel. The owner was great and he finished my laundry in under 2 hours while I enjoyed sitting at a restaurant on the same street.

Lady seemed friendly at first but over guided- didn't add enough washing powder to my load and didn't add softener (I thought this was self service)Furthermore, made me separate into 2 loads for drying. My load in total would've only filled a quarter of the machine but she insisted and said its not about the money" and that it'll cost her £300 to fix. And yet I had to pay for 2 separate dryer and surprisingly neither load dried completely...Read another comment here that she's condescending- true."

Ella did an awesome job. We arrived in town with a suitcase chock full of dirty laundry after a 15 day cruise. We dropped it off and, even though she was busy, in 3 hours we had them all cleaned, dried and folded and back in the suitcase. We'll with the £36. It's just a couple of blocks away from Hyde Park and our hotel. I haven't looked at the negative reviews, but from our point of view she's great! Very hard working and well worth it. Thanks Ella!

Extremely rude owner, he forced me to pay for 2 leads(which was unnecessary )and also took minimum charge of £7, didn’t let me wait there and literally kicked me out and asked me to come back half an hour later. When I came back it’s was done but still had time left for drying in tumble dry, which obviously he used it for another customer, complete rip-off

Staying at the Marriott around the corner and needed some washing done. This is 2 blocks away and the service is excellent. The owner was personable and friendly and he did our wash while we waited. £6 for wash and £2 for drying. We brought our own detergent but it is included with the service.

I was visiting from the USA and had some laundry to do. I am so happy I found this place. The owner was very helpful. The area is nice so while my clothes were washing I explored. I did the quick wash, 20 min wash and 40 min drying. It was perfect and did not disrupt my whole day. This was an easy good experience. Thank You!!

I brought my clothes to the store and paid 100 pound (average wash costed 20£/15£). We brought our own soap and the lady working there refused and placed her own soap.We received all our cloths back dirty (white and colored) with the same stains that we brought them with, these stains were not hard to remove stains (ink or blood or anything like that), a well functioning machine will clean it probably.I dumped 4 shirts in the garbage right there in the shop because they had been damaged. When confronting the lady with the two issues, she refused to take any action and took the whole money and gave us back the dirty cloths.This is absolutely unacceptable and I just lost a 100£ for a non-functioning washing machines.I will never come back here again.

We are from Australia, travelling in England. Sabrina helped us to load the machine and assisted us to get our much needed washing done for our pending departure. She is an amazing lady who is obviously loved by her customers. The machines are clean and the little laundry is pleasantly renovated and runs very efficiently. Thanks Sabrina.

Went there and did a huge self-service wash for £10. £6 for the machine, £1 for powder and and softener and £3 for the dryer. The young lady working there was very helpful and chatty. It took 1.5 hours but there is a nice pub across the street. Oh, and the launderette has free Wi-Fi if you ask nicely.
