My daughter and I had both had a lesson. Excellent experience, friendly and l intend joining the club and improving my skills

Today I shot at ower shooting ground for the first time. Excellent setup with a very relaxed atmosphere.Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely go again.

A small, really friendly shooting ground in a lovely setting along side the river at Ower. Pamela and Jason run a couple of 50 bird competitions each month in the winter and 100 bird registered shoots with a DTL competition available too. Always look forward to shooting there.

Enjoyed my first visit to Ower on 7/10/18, as did my 4 Sunday shooting mates. It’s a well laid out shoot in a tranquil watermeadow setting surrounded by woodland, with ample parking on flat grass/stubble. The unmade access road isn’t best suited to vehicles with low ground clearance, but that’s not unusual! There was a friendly welcome and good value food from the onsite cafe.We shot the 50 bird layout (£16) which had an interesting variety of quite testing targets, including high tower and raised platform stands. There’s a prize fund (if you’re in that class) and they also have a pool shoot. Plastic wads are allowed, but see their website for details of 3 specific cartridges that are prohibited on EHO noise grounds (fibre or plastic). They shoot 2 or 3 Sundays a month from October to December, this is their autumn/winter schedule and fixtures are detailed on their website.So, a good experience first time around, and we’re looking forward to our next visit on 28/10/18 (they also have a shoot on 21/10/18).

Ower is a fantastically friendly local clay shoot.The team running the site are all very welcoming and friendly, whilst maintaining a good site with very few no birds.It gets a little busy last Sunday of the month but is not bad, and whilst the entrance is a little bumpy on my car it’s not awful and there’s very little the site can realistically do about this.Costs have gone up for everyone recently, and despite a small increase from Ower I feel it was more than fair, in line with market prices and still represents good value for money.Thanks to Pam and all the team for putting on a regular friendly shoot.
