Three Cranes Boutique Hotel

Disappointing. This review is in regards to the bar and food service, not the hotel/apartments.We've been here a few times now and the service has been fine. Nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. Tonight has unfortunately changed this though, where the service was disappointing and long.It took 15 minutes to receive a pint & a cocktail - the pint was sat on the counter for 10 minutes waiting before it got served, and this is with 2 other customers in the bar who had already been served.The food was to be expected at the listed prices. You have unfortunately removed a lot of the lighter dishes which worked well before such as the pates and replaced it with Seasonal specials" such as Stew & Dumplings or Chicken Curry. These are just reheated in a microwave foods.Very much expected for 4 odd quid

Lovely personal touches in the room that made our experience fantastic. You can tell that the staff care about their hotel and their guests, proving 10/10 customer service and the cleanest, loveliest rooms. The bed was incredibly comfy!! Hotel bar is gorgeous but we didn’t get to try food unfortunately. However, the menu choice and prices looked excellent. Thanks so much for making us feel comfortable! For such a cheap room, we certainly got our money’s worth. Will return should we find ourselves in Sheffield again.

What a great stay at the Three Cranes Hotel. Luke and the team couldn’t have done more to make it a really enjoyable visit. The rooms were lovely – I had a separate kitchen/living room space, the service was excellent and they have a fantastic bar downstairs. An amazing old building with loads of character but wonderfully renovated, bed was super comfy too. Incredible location – right next to the city centre. Highly recommended, looking forward to visiting again next time I’m in Sheffield!! Thanks for looking after me so well.

Absolutely stunning hotel . The decor the ambiance everything about it is absolutely beautiful. Stayed one night and was sad to leave . The amenities were amazing absolutely spot on with everything. Love love love it . The staff were lovely very accommodating friendly , especially joe such a warm and friendly guy he’s an absolute credit to the hotel can’t thank him enough for looking after us . Will most certainly be returning.

Just stopped for quick drink because I was too early for an appointment. Quiet but the barman was friendly. Not over-priced like many hotel bars!

Really nice place to stay and a lovely bar to drop in to, with friendly staff that really seem to care that you have the best stay possible. I was staying there alone and felt safe the whole time which is really important, and the rooms felt like home from home. I'll definitely stay at the three cranes again, thank you for the great experience!

Disappointed this time round. I stayed here on business 8 months ago and couldn’t rate it high enough. I stayed in Room 7 and really enjoyed my stay. Customer service was great, room was Clean, great decor and loved the Art Deco theme with rustic look. Price was good too. Alas…I travelled up from Southampton with my partner (3.5 hour drive) after an event and didn’t check in until 9pm, I was exhausted after the long day and just needed a solid night sleep as I had work the next day also.I was given Room 1 which is not suitable for a guest room. It’s on the ground floor and located directly next to the hotel entrance/exit so you hear people coming and going through the night. I was woken up every hour at least. You can also hear people talking on the street outside your window as well as noisy cars / lorries in the early morning being on the ground floor. To top it off I had to turn off the extractor fan as this was very loud and the flooring needs to be ripped up and relayed, not because it looks bad or worn, it’s just not laid correctly as it sounds like you’re walking on large bubble wrap and every step makes a cracking noise. Which also kept me up when my partner went to the loo.A good night sleep is a minimum expectation in my view, and if you’re not getting that then something is very wrong as a boutique hotel. It’s not just me that thinks this, reading the other negative reviews on this Room.I loved the hotel when I first stayed and it pains me to write this review as everything in the hotel is great however Room 1 should not be a guest room, it should be an office or staff room. OR should be priced accordingly at maximum of £30-40 per night (with complimentary ear plugs) for the lack of quality of sleep.Would I stay here again. YesWould I stay in Room 1, absolutely not. Get rid of it!

This is a lovely small hotel, great location and good rooms. I didn't use the bar but it looked well stocked and friendly.The staff were very welcoming and relaxed.If you want to stay somewhere that's better than the standard, this is one to try.
