Rooms are excellent, with an awesome location that is close to Oxford and to the countryside. Sunday Roast is fab, and the main menu is seasonal and always has a good variety. Dog friendly, and the service always fantastic, Katie and Libby in particular. Good beer selection with Moretti on tap. What more could you want!

Absolutely lovely. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Cozy pub/restaurant and accommodation to match. We stayed one night and enjoyed the whole experience. Food was absolutely on point. Would highly recommend and we'll be coming back we hope.

The rooms were fairly basic ,small double bed .They had a good shower though .The pub food was average and my rice risotto was still crunchy in the middle !Good range of ginsVery noisy children running around the courtyard where our room was situated .

First time at this place, loved the Gin Vault and had a great time.Staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient.Food was fantastic!Loved the outside garden and we all truly enjoyed our evening.Must be back for more !

What a joke!!! Cold food appeared after an hour of waiting , sent back only to come back cold. Vegetables were hard, not a nice meal at all. Staff were the most unattentive i have encountered, didnt care at all when i complained. Definitely avoid!

Went here for a wake. Charming , comfortable venue. Outside space is secluded. Good was excellent. Good menu and reasonable prices

Came for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, I, myself had the In-house ground steak burger and my dad had the Bavette steak. Staff were amazing and attentive, the food came out at a reasonable pace and quality was superb.The Talkhouse is a hidden gem just a fifteen minute drive away from Oxford City and deserves more recognition. Will defiantly be coming back here.

Came on a Sunday afternoon, expecting a lovely roast, as we've been here several times before and had a great time.Sat down and waited 20 minutes to be served. Had to go to the bar to get someone to come and serve us. We waited an hour before the food arrived, and it was cold. We asked for it to be taken back to the kitchen, and ten minutes later the food arrived at the same temperature. Either the kitchen is a good 2 mile walk away, or their microwave is broken. The potatoes and other side dishes were cold. Very unattentive staff and a very poor service.I was told that the last orders were at 1.45 when booking the table, but other customers came in at 2.30 and were served before us.Staff were sat behind the bar talking whilst we waited for food.The bill was cancelled, but the staff was not apologetic at all, really sarcastic when we left.Definitely gone down hill and such a shame. Staff didn't care at all. Won't be wasting my time and going back.
