The Altered State

A big thanks to Ross at Altered State. Laser Cutting technology has helped us at Josies Chip Shop to produce a chunkier chip by cutting blade shims for my Potato Chipping machine, this enabled me to cut a chunkier chip. Normally to change these blades would cost me a fortune. Altered State has helped me save hundreds of pounds.Using just a photocopy of its shape. I was a little doubtful of the outcome. Ross was quietly confident and had faith in his ability.WOW, what can I say.... first fitting was perfect. Cheers Ross. I would reccomend your services. I am definitely going back as I am building a custom built record player. This technology is going to make my life so much easier.

Pretty disappointed with this company. Ross agreed he could make my product for me, I sent him a sample from my current supplier and now 7 weeks later still no work produced from him. He is now opening and ignoring all of my texts, calls and emails and has not returned my product.Initially Ross was very cooperative and interested in working with my small business. But as soon as he received a sample of my work, the dynamic has changed.I’d avoid this company completely.

I contacted this company back in early June with a proposal for CNC project. In short, an issue with file compatibility resulted not only in my proposal not being manufactured, but in this company giving me total radio silence and ignoring my emails for a combined time of 59 days.The initial issue was that they couldn't work with the files types i was providing. It would seem that The Altered State can only CNC cut completely 2D graphics (think of an embossed shop sign), as opposed to 3D surfaces (think of a bowl-shape). Pretty odd for a company that claims that digital manufacturing is the future"

Rang The Altered state multiple times and no answer so i left a message to his voice recorded message. No reply to my voicemail. I was informed through a 3rd party to find him on Facebook and try through facebook messenger which i did. So i actually got a reply 12 hours later asking me to send exactly what i needed to his email adress and it shouldnt be a problem to do what i need. So i did that within the hour. I messaged him to let him know i had emailed him. 2 days later my messenger reply saying i had email the information message hadnt even been read. So i messsged saying great customer service. Which he read about 5 minutes later but never replied. So i reiterate. Great customer service!

We’ve used Altered State Laser Cutting for a couple of jobs and always been very impressed with the process and end result. Communication from Ross is always excellent and his craftsmanship is outstanding. Our last commission was for a pair of Mackintosh Gin branded chopping blocks to use at exhibitions and they look amazing, they were smoothed, oiled and foodsafe ready when we received them, images on our social media accounts as examples. We definitely won’t hesitate to use them again.

I have used The Altered State on a number of occasions for bespoke projects, and I was most impressed by the quality of work and the enthusiasm of Mr Ross Cameron, the owner. I have found Ross to be most approachable and helpful, and I will have no hesitation in using him in the very near future, as I have a few ideas to run by him.....

I have had many jobs done by Altered State and always of highest quality, pays attention to detail and always fast. Would definitely recommend for small jobs or large.
