We had an understairs storage solution put in by Joat in May 2016 and writing this over one year later I can say that it has completely exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and usefulness. It is a fantastic product, featuring both excellent design and finish. It was a pleasure to get genuinely professional craftsmanship and service in a sector where this is quite difficult to find. The cupboard layout was tailored to our specific needs and we were provided with professional drawings showing exactly what the configuration would be. We also had great after installation service (but didn't need it!). I would not hesitate to recommend Joat to anyone that needs an understairs solution.

I came up with the great idea for tall, deep drawers to go in the space under our stairs one evening when trying to work out how to increase our storage space. I drew up various designs and began to work out dimensions, what I would need to hire to cut heavy MDF accurately and where to source heavy duty drawer runners.And then I stopped. If it was really such a good idea, then surely there would be someone out there who would do a far better job of it than my entry-level DIY skills would allow. I found JOAT and Charl online. He came over for a site visit and instantly he made it all seem so easy. A few weeks later he came back with everything cut perfectly to size and spent the day installing it. He was quick, tidy and friendly. Now we have proper, professionally designed units which look great, fit snugly under my stairs and is full of all that household stuff which previously didn't have a home.

JOAT-London installed under stair storage for us in February this year. That was 3 months ago now and the storage really is excellent. The drawers are sturdy and run very smoothly on the runners, even with two children using them daily. The quote felt quite high but the quality is excellent, and I am confident they will last well, so well worth the money. Charl came up with a design that could accommodate 3 steps down in the floor next to the stairs, and maintained access to our electrical fuse box. We decided to go for unfinished units, and Charl was very helpful with advising us on oil to treat the outer and paint types for the interiors.The installer irritated me slightly by being late, but redeemed himself by showing real craftsmanship in fitting the units. It took real skill and he did it well, completing in one day.

Joat have constructed a variety of cupboards and shelves for me. All excellent quality, and great customer service.

We have used Joat for three different projects and have been uniformly delighted. Each job involved constructing and fitting a piece of built in furniture into a tight spot in the house, and ensuring that it matched the existing woodwork in the room seamlessly. Charl is fantastic to work with: he listens carefully, has fantastic attention to detail, and delivers on time. Highly recommended.

JOAT London built an office space and slid-out storage cabinets under our stairs. From the initial visit to the completion of the job, Charl and the rest of the team were very professional and they delivered a high quality job, and it still looks and works great after more than 3 years. Charl was very knowledgeable with the design and communication was excellent throughout . The fitters and painters worked very efficiently and clean. We highly recommend JOAT for high quality bespoke furniture.

We had an odd shaped wall in our reception room. Joat came out to the flat and measured everything, took in our input on needs and then sent back drawings for our approval. All a very good process. The work was done in one day, very professional and clean, and it fits perfectly. What an improvement to our space!Recommend without reservation.
