Filipe is an excellent teacher who is able to give each student his time - he gives a genuine sense of personal involvement with the progress of each of his students. The club is incredibly friendly and welcoming to all, including anyone new to the sport. I can't recommend the club enough.

At the ripe old age of 41 I was a little nervous about taking up BJJ, and wanted to find a club where I would be able to learn at a pace that I would be able to keep up! I was made to feel really welcome from my first session by Felipe and the rest of the team. His teaching is easy to follow and you have the chance to put into practice what is taught every session. This means you progress quickly but at a pace that feels good. The rest of the team, and especially the higher belts are patient and always go easy, so the emphasis is on learning and improving. I highly recommend this club if you are new to BJJ or looking to get better.

Top quality academy in which to learn BJJ. Filipe's jiu-jitsu is highly technical and free-flowing, and he has a meticulous eye for detail when coaching students. The team are incredibly friendly and generous with their time, everyone is there to learn and support each other to improve, higher and lower belts alike. Filipe and the team also keep the mats completely hygienic and spotless which is important due to close contact nature of this sport
