Optimax Southampton

Complete waste of my time. Shambles from online booking to initial consultation. Website had issue with payment, don't know why, my card works everywhere else online. I put on the form I would like to be contacted by email or sms, not phone, I was then bombarded with phone calls and voice mails for the next few days whilst on my holiday, thanks. Booking and payment was then confirmed over email. Arriving for the consultation, they seemed suprised I even had one, not a great welcome. I was then informed I had to use their hand gel, I refused for personal reasons. I offered to wash my hands in the bathroom but this was not good enough for them so I left. They informed me in advance I would have to wear a mask but no mention that I would be forced to use their hand gel sadly. Would have saved everyone's time if informed prior.

Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Wasn’t pushed into anything just really informative and helpful.

Made a huge mistake using Optimax. I gave them my medical history and medication. Optimax told me that after my lens replacement surgery that I would need additional laser treatment to fine tune my vision. After surgery I was told I couldn’t have laser treatment to fine tune my vision due to my medical conditions which were disclosed, so now left still wearing glasses. Gross negligence which surprise surprise they have denied. They should never allowed this surgery. Disgusting

Unreliable and take advantageMy consultation appointment is 17/5 12:30 that I booked on 31/5. My husband and I booked leave as I am not supposed to drive. We left home 11:00 am as we are living 30 miles away from Southampton clinic. I received call from clinic at 11:20 am that time we are on the motorway towards to Southampton. the lady inform me that I can't attend appointment due to staff reason. She did apologize. She offered me get money back or rebook appointment. I questioned why can they let me know earlier that we don't have to take this avoidable unnecessary journey. It's not good let me know an hour before appointment.She said she couldn't do it earlier. I know that is not her fault. But obviously the clinic is not open until 11:20 am,they have plenty of time let me know before we start the journey.Also confirmation email shows they require 5 working notice to rebook or cancel appointment get refund deposit. Why I only got one hour notice to cancel my appointment?Is this the way Optimal treat patients? We drove more than 60 miles and one day leave to pay the mistake Optimax made. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I was facing the difficult fact that my lens implants would have to be removed. I did not want to go back to contact lenses and glasses because I am very active, especially swimming but I did not have a choice. The staff at Southampton were very supportive. A year later I had new implants inserted and I now have better vision than before. Everyone has been professional and friendly throughout. I am delighted with the results.

Having recently had lens replacement surgery at Optimax Southampton I couldn’t feel more happier. From my initial assessment, through to surgery and check up has been a pleasurable experience. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, a very relaxed atmosphere . I will actually miss my visits there. Early days with my surgery, but so far I am extremely happy with the results. Thank you all for your kindness. I would certainly recommend you to anyone. X

Fantastic best thing I have ever had done. This is now almost 10 years sine this was done and I still have 20/20 sight. I was very short sighted and this has changed my life. My sight with glasses back in those days was not as clear as it is now thanks to Optimax in Southampton.

Had my eyes done here 5 years ago and vision is still perfect. The whole procedure from consultation to surgery was seamless and quick and I never had any doubts along the way. Best decision I’ve made, both financially and for quality of life.

Massive thanks to all of the staff of Optimax Southampton branch. They were all very warm and accommodating. I am a Registered Nurse I struggled with my glasses every time it flogs when I am wearing mask. Now I feel more confident and efficient on the work that I do. I do recommend the Lasik procedure. It was pricey but it really outweighs the cons of wearing glasses.
