We were seated quickly and drinks order taken promptly. Drinks arrived and we were given a few more minutes to look at the menu. Our order was taken and food arrived within good time. Starters were cleared and mains arrived shortly after. All good so far. We were not asked if we wanted any more drinks, we had to ask, plates were cleared around 8.15pm and nobody asked if we wanted dessert. We would have ordered 4 desserts so they missed out on that sale. After plates were cleared we were left until we asked for the bill around 10pm. We spent £110 and could have spent more if staff had been more attentive. The restaurant went really quiet and it was clear that staff were just waiting for us to leave even though it was only 10pm. Would not go again. Food was nice and that's the only reason I gave 3 stars not 2.

Sons soup was cold but sent it back & came back very hot.Husband loved his southern fried chicken burger deal with drink.I had fish & chips with 30% deal which was nice.Good service, son wanted jacket potato & staff obliged even though it was from lunch menu.Have took a festive menu to browse over, may bring parents back to try that if it looks good.Will return in the future.

We arrived early and even though it was a busy time the staff were able to get us seated at a table. What we like about dining here is the staff are always pleasant and helpful, there is always a good atmosphere. Unlike other places the tables are well spaced so diners are not sitting on top of each other. Altogether a really nice relaxed evening out.

We called in here today on our way back from a cold walk through the chase. We were greeted by a lovely lady who seated our family of 5 straightaway. Then a young man named Dan took our order. Now we have a very fussy eater and nothing was too much trouble for Dan, he helped with changing things around for her, and explained how the kids could eat for £1 during the holiday too, very happily surprised. But he was ever so patient, and very helpful. Then the food come, and 4 out of 5 of us had ordered different burgers, and all 4 of us said it was THE nicest burger we'd ever had! Tasty, very filling and well presented. After food the 3 kids went and had a play on the outdoor equipment before we come home.We've definitely found our new eating out place. Highly recommend this place! Friendly/helpful staff, comfortable and cosy environment, delicious food, great price. Win win. Oh and the hubby said they do a wicked pint of peroni too

We booked just a few hours before. When we arrived, we saw how busy it was as they were having to turn people away who hadn't booked. However, the staff were welcoming, attentive and there wasn't a long wait for drink or food. The atmosphere was lovely and we really enjoyed our evening and will go back again.

The Chetwynd arms is our favourite place to eat. Three of us had lunch there today. The food was perfect, the staff were brilliant, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere at this venue is always perfect and relaxed which we love and also was bright and welcoming. I used a 30% off mains leaflet which knocked nearly £10 off my bill so I couldn't be happier. I would recommend this pub to anyone. We eat there whenever we get the chance.

Really enjoyable experience. Came for a meal for a birthday, very accommodating. We had to add an extra person last minute which was no trouble at all. Slight delay on food ordering but understandable as they were busy and kept us informed. Food was all piping hot, steak was cooked to perfection. Was nice to have been sent some discount vouchers but well worth the price. Will definitely be coming again soon

The waitresses are very helpful and friendly. The food is value for money and tasty. It was rather full so service was a little slow but understandably so.

Chetwynd Arms
Very friendly and helpful staff, we turned up later on in the evening and the staff were very helpful, we had a nice table, excellent and very reasonable priced food. Will definitely be visiting again and may become our go to stopover when we are travelling South. Highly recommended.
