I had a wonderful time on the course this weekend. Marketa is a great teacher, very knowledgeable and so inspiring. My only wish is that it was longer as it went so quickly! I'm definitely going to be back to do more courses! Thank you Marketa and the team for proving such a fantastic course. If you're thinking about booking, it's an investment you won't regret.

The Handpan weekend course was a wonderful experience. I'm musically disabled. I have no concept of scales but Marketa took us on a beautiful journey and at the end of the day we were jamming as a group. I loved the gentle build-up towards a little more complex pattern. Handpan Academy is a welcoming space full of people with passion for music and handpans. I can't wait to practise what we've learned. Thank you.

The Handpan Academy Bristol, is an amazing place to dive into the enchanting world of handpans! The atmosphere is perfect, especially for beginners, and it's a truly rhythmic melody haven. Marketa, our instructor, was absolutely phenomenal and provided exceptional support throughout the course. Meeting fellow handpan enthusiasts and playing beautiful melodies together was a delight. I highly recommend this course to all music lovers out there. Trust me, it's pure heaven! ❤️

I just spent this last weekend with Marketa and Duncan learning handpan and discovering how they are made. Meridian has a very nice warm feel to it and both are very passionate about what they do. After an hour and trying out the technique things fell into place and nice sounds started to come. Marketa is an excellent teacher, very patient and knowledgeable. By the end of the first day all 7 of us in the workshop were jamming well together. Second day allowed us to explore the different scales/keys and see Duncan at work. A brilliant workshop and I came away with one of the beautifully and loving handcrafted D Celtics. I will return for 1:1 sessions once I have explored the beginners material. I thoroughly recommend.

The beginners course run at Meridian handpan was fantastic can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone starting out. Marketa is a great teacher and has such warmth and calmness to her you feel so at home straight away. It was great to meet others who are on the same journey as well. We also got to see the hard work that goes into making each handpan you just don’t realise how long it takes to produce. Keep up the good work Duncan !!! Thank you both for a great weekend

Spent an excellent weekend on a beginners course being taught the basics of the handpan by the brilliant Marketa. The teaching was great, and by the end of the 2 days we were all happily jamming away together as a group. It was a wonderful introduction to the instrument, and I would highly recommend it!

This was an amazing experience. I am so glad I took the time to do this weekend course . The teaching was brilliant professional and we learnt so much in such a short space of time . Everybody was so accommodating. To go into the workshop to be able to understand the making of the hand pan was such an honour thank you both.

The beginners course is brilliant! Marketa has a wealth of knowledge to share making the two days a really enjoyable experience . Loved being in the workshop too finding out exactly how they craft such a beautiful instrument. Amazing course. Meridian Handpans are stunning! Thank you.

Loved every second of the weekend. So much fun to learn and play these amazing handpans. Marketa is an excellent teacher, very welcoming and very patient - she puts you at ease if you're feeling a little self-conscious playing if front of the group! Duncan showed us around the workshop and explained how he started the business and how the pans are made, which was fascinating and added another dimension to the weekend - certainly made me appreciate the many hours it takes to create such a beautiful instrument (a work-of-art for sure.) I went back on the day after the course to listen to and choose a handpan for myself and was treated to a 1:1 concert from Marketa! There's something very special about knowing the handpan I've chosen is being created just for me, rather than picking one off the shelf" and I know it will be very much treasured when it arrives. :)"

I am so pleased I went to the beginners weekend course at Handpan Academy. It was a mesmerizing experience, among really friendly people! A fantastic opportunity to get introduced to the handpan! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, I felt at ease and inspired by Marketa's personal journey, she is a superb teacher and musician! Not less compelling was listening to Duncan's story and been shown of how now he makes these astonishing instruments with a such magical harmonic sound!Thank you so much for what you both do and give!
