A bit empty on a Friday lunchtime but the staff are friendly and the service superb.Menu is a wide selection of English dishes, nothing too challenging.Good value

Decided to come here for tea with the wife.Honestly, we thought it was closed with the work going on and we're going to turn around. Until we saw a sign (although dark) that said open as usual. And oh, boy, I'm glad we didn't turn around!!!We luckily stopped in on the day they released their new menu. What an absolute treat! I had the teriyaki chicken on noodles and my wife had the baked chicken and they were absolutely devine!!I would highly recommend this place (and have done) to everybody in the local area and beyond. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much. And the food is top notch!!Can't wait to see what it's like when the work has been done!

We called for a quick sandwich lunch and wow what a surprise. Served on a platter with crispy parsnips and fries, they were superb.Enhanced by very friendly and afficient staff, it was excellent. We will certainly be visiting again.

We had booked a table for 3 adults 1 child for 530pm 10/09.We arrived well on time shown to our table and ordered a drink,We ordered our food 545 pm with a young lad that scribbled it down on a small note pad.We ordered another drink. The place wasn’t that busy when we arrived but observed slowly it started to fill up but still not busy.We waited and waited but the feeling was we had been forgotten so i visited the bar for an update and as I’d expected the order hadn’t been put through and no record of it.We had a hungry 9 year old and a grandad that needed to eat.Update, your food will be another 40 so that would have been almost an 1-5 absolutely shocking, so we chose just to request our child’s order which we were told would be ten minutes ,it wasn’t but it did eventually arrive. So let me just sum up this joke of a restaurant/pub grub.No one is over seeing the young front of house staff, training much needed. This is our third visit here and always issues so never again and I will be advertising this too, shocking incompetent service once again.

Went tonight for their New Years Tapas event. £25 each and it was three courses of great food, each course with upto three dishes. Also they had a brilliant live singer songwriter performing throughout the night.Whoever is thinking of the events at this great local recently is doing an excellent job please keep it up.We went to the family showing of the grinch before Christmas and that was great too.

Love this place. Friendly, helpful staff. Great relaxed atmosphere, you can turn up in your Sunday best or chill in jeans. The food is amazing with a good choice especially for veggies! Only slight downside is of course the prices have gone up. But we think its worth it for a treat.

We were told that this place was a good place to eat and we checked it out on the internet but is shows it was closed. We set off to a restaurant that we know was open that is past this place but when on route we noticed it was open as it had a big sign outside saying “ open as usual “ so we pulled in and thought we would give it a go. This was a big mistake..!!.We were the only ones in the place and it was freezing cold, there were workmen working on the building, a waitress was sat at the end of the bar with a pint..!!.We were seated and then the electrics went out, we should have left at this point but no. We ordered food and when it arrived it wasn’t that bad but we ate our food and left, still no heating on.I personally think that if they are having work done around the place they should not open for dinning, but no apology or explanation, I even had to go to the toilet in the dark and the girl at the bar just laughed. Not a place I would recommend and won’t be returning anytime soon.

Popped in today as I saw they had a new menu! They are having some work done on the front and it's already looking so much more welcoming Im sure it will look great when its all finished.I had the duck gyros and my better half had the chicken gyros.ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!Our experience from start to finish was marvelous. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it was nice and warm, they have inches on tap (my favourite!)And the food was the best in the area. They deserve all the credit and I hope they go from strength to strength!Going to come back for the thirsty Thursday" which just so happens to fall on open mic night.King William you have a couple of new regulars!!!!!!!!!"

Lovely food today. I had the King Bill burger which was loaded with pulled pork, hash browns and onion rings. My partner had chicken enchilada and we were both really pleased with our meals.Nice pint of black IPA which I had never seen before and service was great. A credit to the area.
