Woodland Hall Care Home - Care UK

This is not a place I would ever recommend for anyone you really care about. My experience was with the exception of two very caring senior nurses who did their best in a very poor environment, a shambles from beginning to the sad end.Form bringing in my daying mother to the removal of her body, I met with very amateur , badly motivated junior staff and a shambolic management.The home employed a G.P by name only and the final insult was having to chase him to provide a death certificate which, if left unaltered,would have resulted in a post mortem. It took hours and was extremely stressful.I have no real experience of other homes which the NHS approve, but there is something very wrong with the this system of care.

Our mother was in Woodland Hall for just over 2 years. We were so pleased with the care and attention that she received - staff really did their best to understand her individual needs, and she always looked clean and well tended. We will always be grateful for knowing that she was in good hands.

My mother was there for just 3 weeks, when she came home she was1 not washed (smelled)2 had a massive blister on her foot3 had bruises on her back4 had missing personal effectsAnd ended back into hospital, Ola was very rude to me and my wife when confronted with this!Do not send anyone there!

My mum was a resident there in with alzheimers for the past 10 months and we were so pleased with the care she received. The staff were so caring and supportive, nothing was too much trouble for them and we felt very assured mum was in good hands. Would highly recommend this home.

My Mother died while staying at this nursing home. With 3 next of kin numbers on there books, they failed to notify us of any difficulties. We found out 8 hours later.I strongly advise against having your loved ones stay here.

My mother in law was resident at Woodland Hall for about 9 months until she sadly passed away, aged 95. Her care was exemplary and compassionate. As importantly, the administration and accounting team were knowledgeable and responsive, in particular Nick Coleman-Heald - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

I've just been discharged after 44 days in Hiiiside unit thank you to all th staff Ngozi and her team of Physios Consuelo ,Michaela Serudic, Fredson Fernandez, Brenda Alfonso ,Alysha for exceptional care and service way beyond call of duty. thank you to Jess Louisa, Hakimo (night shift( simtta Pooja for all their friendly cheery helpfulness!!! Olga & sol as well for management to know their residents by name. special mention to head chef Marjorie for being patient & understanding of my numerous dislikes especially the fish and always preparing an alternative for me.

Please don't put any of your family members in that home staff are rude there not nurses. My family member fell in that home was taken to hospital and was promised a place to go back to now there denying it .there liar's and don't hold any responsibility for someone failing in there care.
