AVOID! We stayed as a family of four with a 15 month old baby. Our room stank of dog, in some places smelt of dog faeces to the extent that I actually checked under the furniture to see if there was one that had been missed! There were stains all over the carpet and we had to prevent our baby from crawling on the floor as it was so filthy. Reported it to reception who couldn’t move us to another room. Restaurant was extremely overpriced for the food served and the service in the restaurant was poor as they got our order wrong. The next morning upon check out again reported the room and was told the manager would call me that day to discuss. No call ever received. 3 star hotel at best but our room was absolutely disgusting. Terrible customer service.

It is a beautiful hotelThe whole family went as a birthday surprise. We had a great stay.Rooms nice and comfy one did smell a bit fusty and the couple in this room didn't sleep well because of the smell. But the rest of us had a good time.Very close to Bath to go out for dinner and drinks. So a good locationMost of the staff were great. The evening bar man wasn't keen on doing any cocktails so used the excuse of no ice to not do anymore which wasn't good. But a good stay.Would recommend

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at beechfield hotel and we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Beth, who gave us a warm and welcoming reception. She upgraded our room to the Chestnut Room, which had a beautiful balcony with stunning views of the city. The room itself was very clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, a luxurious bathroom, and all the amenities we needed. We also enjoyed the hotel's swimming pool, which had stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We were particularly impressed with Daisy, who served us breakfast each morning with a smile on her face. She was very accommodating with our dietary needs, and she made sure that we had everything we needed to start our day off right.Overall, we had an amazing stay at beechfield hotel and The hotel is beautiful, the staff is fantastic, and the food is delicious. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. Here are some specific things that we loved about the hotel:Beth's warm and welcoming receptionThe upgrade to the Chestnut Room with its beautiful balconyThe clean and spacious room with a comfortable bed and luxurious bathroomThe stunning views of the city and countryside from the swimming poolThe friendly and helpful staff, especially Daisy who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stayThe delicious foodWe would definitely stay at beechfield hotel and again, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a super good hotel experience.Thank you to all the staff at beechfield hotel and for making our time so special. Came here for a small reception for my friends wedding. The staff were truly truly wonderful. Extremely attentive, friendly, anticipated our needs before asking for it, made us all feel at ease. Special mention to Beth the restaurant manager as she was honestly the sweetest and most helpful she could possibly be.The grounds were stunning and we got some really wonderful pictures. The food was insanely good and there were a good range of drinks available as well. All staff were lovely that I encountered but I only got the names of a few - Antony, Kayleigh (I believe she was new) and Mia. Thank you so much to everyone for helping Toyah and Toby have the most fantastic day possible and allowing us to celebrate their love as a small group and really be able to enjoy the day. I’ll definitely be finding an excuse to come back!

We were looking forward to a nice stay and it actually started quite well, as we were warmly welcomed. However, it quickly turned out that the friendliness of the staff could not compensate for the serious lack of cleanliness. The garden was unkempt and the rooms weren't clean, just like the whole house wasn't clean. The worst, however, was the breakfast. The tables weren't clean, the music rattled from a small radio module much too loudly and that was rock music that not everyone liked to hear shortly after getting up. The choice of food was very limited and the chef, who prepared scrambled eggs in oil in the kitchen, had probably never heard of love on the plate. I would replace the chef first. It was really more than disappointing. We would not recommend anyone to visit the house.

Had a great time at Beechfield House, our room was quiet, the grounds are lovely - particularly the pool, and was dog friendly. No complaints!

The house is beautiful. The pool and surrounding areas were stunning. The pool is heated, and on a warm day, it's the perfect place to chill out. The dinner was very good. Excellent service from the team there. The afternoon tea was one of the best we've had. It was delicious, and the setting was perfect. The only thing we could think that let it down slightly was the bathroom- it could have been better decorated and looked a little worn. However, all worked perfectly fine. Would return as we had a very relaxing few days away.

Disappointed because I arrived to find the pool cold. When I asked about it being heated to 28C I was told it's only heated to 22C and had been off for several hours but would warm up. I used it the following morning. Could only stay in for 5 minutes. Still cold. The promise of an outdoor pool heated to 28C was the main reason I went. I wouldn't have booked it otherwise.Their website says Our lovely and warm outdoor swimming pool is conveniently located within the walled garden and is the perfect spot for a swim from early morning to late evening. Heated to a wonderful 83F

Got a last minute deal here which was very good value for money. The staff are very helpful. The food is amazing. The decor and grounds are lovely. The outdoor pool is great. We stayed in a standard bedroom which could do with a bit of TLC but other than that I cannot fault the place.
