Barchester - Lanercost House Care Home
We had a family emergency in sussex,our elderly mother lives with us so we decided the safest option was for her to go into restbite for the 2 weeks,she had a lovely time,the staff were amazing and so was the food.Thank you to everyone at lanercost,it unable us to relax and concentrate on private matters knowing our mother was in safe hands.

One of my parents resides in this home on the basis of the excellent care my aunt received over 5 years ago. The home is immaculate, the new receptionist is a great asset to the home and so friendly. I find all staff very friendly, and caring regardless of their role in the home. Our family highly recommend this home.

Visited the home for a placement for my father. All was good, came and done assessment at the hospital. Was then told by the hospital that they would not accept him. Had no explanation or contact from Lanercost House. Poor communication. Very disappointing.

My friend spent his final few weeks here and was made comfortable by the friendly and professional staff here.I was really pleased how well he was looked after on visiting him. His room could have been his own flat with his pictures hanging and radio 3 playing in the corner.Catalin was extremely helpful. We were made tea, shown to his room by a nurse who knew his name but wasn’t even actually involved with his care and patiently had his situation explained by Catalin.

Barchester - Lanercost House Care Home
There is no other care home I'd want my Father to go to. The staff are all so lovely, kind and helpful who go above and beyond to help you - particularly Janette, the Manager who is so caring. The home itself is like a hotel, with it's little bistro, lovely dining room and bedrooms. You don't feel like you are walking into a old, smelly care home, but a lovely enviroment, where you know people are going to be well looked after. And the cakes are to die for!

I was incredibly impressed with the entire team at Barchester Lanercost House Care Home. Everything about the team and facilities are top notch! I feel lucky and grateful that my grandmother is in this facility. I know that she will be cared for exceptionally, which puts me at a great deal of ease.Thank you to the wonderful team at Barchester Lanercost House Care Home.

Barchester - Lanercost House Care Home
As a family we are beyond impressed with both the facilities and staff at Lanercost House. This really is a combination of the luxury of a lovely hotel (including great restaurant and food) with the real warmth of feeling like it is home from home.
