The Jays Guest House Aberdeen

I stayed at Jays for one night when I travelled to Aberdeen for work. The check/ in was made very easy. The hosts ( Gourav & Anna) were very friendly and made me feel so welcome. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe at this place. I would highly recommend Jays guest house as it is very close to the city centre. If driving, the property has a safe car park located at the back of the property. I am glad that found this place, I would be staying there again in the near future.

We came to Aberdeen from India to drop our son at the university. Gaurav was most helpful - he guided our son in many ways and built a good relationship. It helped being from the same country. Anna is a lovely host. thanks to both of you.

Lovely welcoming guest house. If you do not have a car you can still get around easily by bus with nearby stops. Close to the beach and to the football stadium if you want to catch a game! Spotlessly clean with all amenities. Highly recommend.

This was a throw back to the 70s. No one to greet on arrival but had a video message for instructions on how to gain access, luckily my phone still had charge. Single bed was like a board. No soundproofing between the rooms so after spending an hour listening to next door remonstrating with each other, I then got to enjoy the snoring. Coffee and tea were provided but basic Nescafé and Tetley. The shower was again serviceable. Though being on the main road you could hear the late night revellers returning home. Clean room but won’t be returning.

We took the whole house for a large family gathering. It worked very well. The kitchen was large, well fitted out and allowed us cater for our needs. The bedrooms were comfortable and cosy. The lounge and dining room gave great space for mingling and and chatting. The whole house had a lovely Christmas vibe, was quiet and on a very easy route into town.

We stayed here for two nights on our trip to help our daughter settle into Aberdeen University. Its a lovely place, the living room is great to sit and chit chat with other guests. Will definitely come again. Thanks Anna & Gaurav.

Spontaneously decided to visit a friend in Aberdeen and stayed for a night. The booking was made over the phone on the day quick and easy and all info was sent to us via WhatsApp. Finding everything and getting settled was very easy that way. We had a very good night's sleep and a nice hot shower. We'd stay again when we're in the area.

Brilliant customer service! Absolutely perfect for staying near Aberdeen Sports Village! Great for one or two night stay. Owner couldn't be more helpful, communication very prompt and happy to help. Check in procedures very clear and video sent with explanation of all making it seemless. Room clean and has everything provided. Bed not the most comfortable (hard) but otherwise just perfect so not a problem for a short stay. Have stayed on room occasions for a night visiting my uni student and will be my regular stay for future. Highly recommend!****UPDATE****NEW MATTRESS!!!Less than a week after my stay and the owners have messaged me to let me know they have replaced all the mattresses in their upstairs double rooms! He wanted me to know so I can look forward to my next stay. Absolutely fabulous response to feedback and again customer service.

Nice place, location and area. Plenty of options for transport nearby and the airport is very close/accessible.Host was very welcoming as well - recommended :)
