Excellent south Indian food - a refreshing change from the standard Indian. Everything freshly made and has a real depth of spicing without just relying on chilli for heat.Service was friendly and knowledgeable - although could be a little quicker.

First time here but not the last.fantastic cheesy garlic naan and an amazing curry and very welcoming host.highly recommend as not your usual curry gravy.

I've lived in the village for the last 20+ years and seen a few different restaurants, stand where madras spice is now one of which was very nice and since then they haven't lived up to the 'taste of india', however went to madras spice recently, and it goes to show don't judge a book by its cover, because even-though visually the restaurant isn't the best, yet, i say yet because i think they will improve it. However you don't go to a restaurant for the looks you go for the food. Based on, it was great all the food tasted very fresh with their homemade sauces and curry's, the staff are great, asking for vital feedback which is understandable and then explaining about the food you order which i liked, give them a chance you won't be dissapointed, if you want delicious, fresh authentic india cuisine, give it a go.

Nice village pub, only went in for a quick drink this time. Have also eaten in the attached Indian restaurant previously which is a great place to eat. Locals friendly, beers good, what's not to like?

From the outside the place looked more like a traditional pub than an Indian restaurant and we was not sure what to expect. Indian food is one of my favourite foods and the food i had here was some of the best i have eaten. If you like Indian food and have not been to this place then you have to try, you will not be disappointed. If i could give more stars i would!!

I would like to recommend Madras Spice Horspath for the amazing food they serve.The food is really fresh as well as the hospitality of the staff is outstanding.Reasonably priced and a big shout out to the chefDeepu Abraham as he personally visited the table to enquire on the food and if it was for my liking.Great job guys!

This lovely friendly restaurant in horspath never fails to deliver outstanding service and food.We ate in for a beautiful 1st class meal with a fabulous new chef cooking incredibliiy fresh tasty gorgeous new style indian cuisine .Very innovative fresh home cooking and so enjoyable.Lovely owner always smiling chatty polite and cheerful .Charming new Waitress attentive and great service.

Got an Uber Eats delivery, based on the google reviews. The food did not disappoint. Really loved the Dum Biryani, Chethinad chicken and the prawn chilli. Will definitely order again and try other tempting dishes on the menu.

We had one of the best Indian meals here. Very friendly service. Food all cooked fresh to order. Chef came and chatted to us about what we ordered and how it was made. Totally recommend you come and try for yourself.
