DFS Preston

I had arranged delivery of my sofa yesterday 26/09/23, and had asked and confirmed with someone from DFS customer service that, since the room the sofa was going in was still not ready (no carpets down, painting still to be done, rubbish to be removed, etc.), they would be happy to deliver the sofa and leave everything packaged up, then someone would return in a few weeks to set up my sofa once I was ready, I had paid £99 for delivery and installation to ensure of this. I received a call from DFS Preston today informing me that, not only can no one come back to set up my sofa, they aren't going to refund me any of the £99 I paid either. So I have paid £99 for them to deliver my sofa in boxes and now I have to set it up myselfNot happy!!!!

Went here a few weeks ago spent an hour looming round and trying out sofas we wasn't hassled at all which i personally love we went back the week after asked for assistance it was the manager he was very helpful and informative , so we bought a beautiful sofa really comfy all singing and dancing recliners all round. Just waiting on our delivery date, can't wait thank you, team dfs

Beautifully laid out and looking store. Staff helpful not ott and pushy like the SCS we visited down the road. Felt at ease to try sofas without being pounced on and as a result made a purchase. PS. The neighbouring SCS store is not Wheelchair friendly and the lift is out of order. DFS is on one large ground floor level and space is plentiful for a wheelchair.

Delivery man was rude, never had such a bad experience as this. After waiting nearly 3 months for delivery, then me and my husband removed our own old, very large sofas outside waiting for delivery of new one. DFS delivery man hadn’t even got inside the house before saying it won’t fit, then blaming me for not checking dimensions!! He was rude and quite frankly seemed like he just couldn’t be bothered, I know it was a Saturday and we were potentially the final drop but that’s no excuse. The young lad he was with I have to say was pleasant and seemed to be more knowledgeable than the main guy. He didn’t even know how to attach the feet, had to ask the younger lad. I have never had such an obnoxious delivery person in my house. After telling me that I needed to pay about £120 to have my window removed, he then left, and left sofa in my hallway!! When my husband came home it took us about 2 minutes to get the sofa into the lounge where it should have been put by this so-called professional delivery guy…… absolutely will not recommend DFS to anyone after this experience, would give no stars if I could!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I've never been lied to so much in my entire life. I've made over 20 phone calls to get a different story each time. I've now wasted and entire day of my weekend sat at home waiting for a collection that was between 8:55 and 11:55! No phone call nothing

Beautiful store which is artistically arranged inside with stunning views outside across the Marina. Was just concerned about a few things. The store seemed extremely quiet for a typically busy Saturday and a lot of staff just seemed to be wandering around with nothing to do. Greg the salesman also explained how amazing the delivery service is with all options to personalise your delivery date, unfortunately this never happened at all and an inconvenient date just got dropped on us. It was a car better experience than ScS down the road but nothing amazing. Gave Greg a decent CS review internally but wish I had waited until delivery before completing that as it wasn't as great as was promised. I have given them an OK review because it was OK thinking about it, nothing more nothing less.

Really unhappy with the service that has been provided by not only the Preston store but the general customer service. We placed our order for our sofa, some cushions, an armchair and a four seater sofa. We had the delivery date set, then the day before we got a phone call and magically our four seater had been lost....we rang up another four times over the span of a week, at this point we had gotten rid of our sofa to make way for the new one. Never once were we contacted in regards to where our sofa was, we ALWAYS had to chase this up and got no where half of the time, we just got told to wait 72 hours and such. We then called AGAIN and magically the sofa had been found, so we set a delivery date but decided we wanted to cancel our order because we were so upset with how we had been treated. We then had a call from someone at the Preston store who was completely unhelpful and rather rude. She said there was nothing they could do for us, they couldn't cancel it or provide us with any sort of compensation even though we had taken days off work for the new sofa to come and had no sofa, she just simply said 'theres no port of call higher than her' which is useless just as much as she was. (The guy who actually sold us the sofa was lovely)

Liked that you can look round without being pressured, very helpful sales staff when you ask questions. We got offered a cup of tea which is always nice, Greg was extremely helpful. Nice shopping experience.
