Strand Cafe
Fairly decent pad Thai in a cosy location by the river. The tempura starter as part of the lunch menu was super good. Definitely pop in for lunch if you’re feeling like Thai food.

Food was fresh and nice to eat. However, we did not feel as pleasant about the service and etiquette of the staff. As soon we walked in, the waiter piped up saying we make Thai food here" in a very warning tone. Afterwards

I really wanted to like this more. But j think they must have microwaved my poached eggs as the white was soft and the yolk hard. Not at all pleasant to eat. Having said that, the scrambled eggs my partner had were okay, so if I go back I'll be having those.

Visited last week after having driven from Reading to meet up for lunch with friends. I was made to feel welcome from waitress Knee, Really friendly. Foods were acceptable and reasonable prices but our foods was not served at the same time eventhough there were only few tables in place. But still want to come back as Padthai was delicious.

Lovely family restaurant, we had a English breakfast and cappuccino. Gas fun with the owner. Very warm and friendly staff.

The place was lovely, really good atmosphere and the person serving us was really nice. The food was really good and not expensive.Great service and great food in a lovely place
