Hawkins Peugeot Hayle

Unfortunately, exceptionally, on this occasion I got the feeling that the Salesman wasn't particularly helpful. He didn't stop filling in his paperwork to serve me. Just said try sitting in the cars. When I couldn't get anything to work in them he said they had had a powercut and so nothing was working. I didn't get a very positive feeling from my visit. This was in complete contrast to their MG salesman Rob who was extremely helpful and sorted two test drives of their Electric Vehicles. I have had Peugeot cars before and have dealt with Hawkins for over 25 years and always had a positive experience so I think this was an exception.

The service at Hawkins Hayle has gone downhill, massively, since covid!Completely indifferent customer service, occasionally rude!As a Motability customer we feel like we are treated as second class citizens by them.We have had a problem on the car for 3 years, since new actually. Every time it's serviced we tell them and nothing happens. There's always an excuse, the cars too hot for it to work , too cold, it's not driven enough miles, the battery hasn't enough charge..... We've given up with it ever getting fixed now, they clearly don't care. Maybe they'll fix it for another customer when we hand it back, though I seriously doubt it!The sales department is also pushy and uncaring, especially once they've got your money!We would not recommend this dealership and will not use again by choice! Poor!

Normally I don't bother writing bad reviews only good but here is an exception.Many years ago I purchased a Peugeot estate car from Hawkins motors.It was just a few months old.I really liked the estate car economical and tidy however after 6 weeks of ownership and 4 of those weeks the car was in the workshop for repairs I pulled the plug out and purchased a car from another manufacturer which had a long and prosperous life.I vowed never to buy another Peugeot car from them ever again due to poor service and shocking car quality.So something like 15 years later I purchased a Peugeot van for work.It was used however very expensive and well presented....thus the saga continued.The van was collected in person from a branch that did not sell the van and after discussing area location was told to use them for services in the future.I returned the van with various mechanical faults some of which were detremental to the stabality of the vehicle yet to be told there was nothing wrong with it.After many phone calls and hassles the vehicle was returned to the original branch where they agreed the problems highlighted were definitely an issue and apologized for the lack of application to the safety of the vehicle by another branch despite being the same company.The van was constantly requiring repairs along with various cosmetic issues that were presented after washing such as paint peeling off and damage .The result was that the vehicle was returned to the branch at a huge loss of thousands of pounds to a self employed contractor.This company is not one I would ever use again due to the shocking service from a branch and sheer lack of care for safety and integrity of a person's struggle to earn a living .So thank you Hawkins for costing me thousands of pounds and no thanks to your business from me in future.

My wife and myself have been using Hawkins at Hayle for about 18 years and we have been well impressed overall with the excellent service we get, we have always dealt with Dan Jacombe and have brought in excess of 13 cars from Dan, Dan is a great sales man and has always made our experience at Hawkins a good one..

Excellent service today from Andrew Thomas at Hawkins! I’ve been looking for a new car and spotted one on their website and Andrew was very helpful and friendly when I phoned to enquire about it. When we arrived he was very welcoming and I bought the car! A really lovely experience from start to finish, great to get such good service! Thank you.
