Came here in late April / early May to train for open water swimming in Varsity Triathlon. It was FREEZING but I eventually conquered my fear of the cold water and swam a few laps (it’s so much easier with training with other Triathlon Club members). I was so upset at first by how long it took to complete one length — I thought it was a 50m pool — turns out it’s 91m!! This looks like swimming pools from 1920s movies, definitely much more enjoyable in summer.

Huge pool so doesn't feel crowded. Sauna is a little worn but still very nice after cold swim! Some drainage for the wet floor would help.

Lovely lido. Good for leisure and lane swimming. Its a 50m pool! Lots of lifeguards so felt very safe. They asked under 15s to leave at 5pm. Nice price too-£6 for a whole day- we were allowed to pop in and out as well.

really nice experience. management could maybe invest in renovating the place a bit especially the changing area. apparently we can no longer store our belongings near the entrance, it's 50p for 1 locker and you can only open it once. could do with hot showers too.

Super swimming facility, well maintained, clean, friendly and possibly the best value family attraction in Cambridge. Located next to the river (in the past, it was fed with water from the nearby weir, but is now filled with filtered water) at the edge of a beautiful tree-filled park, the lido is probably the longest swimming pool in the east of England. The ends of the pool are shallow (around waist deep) whereas the centre is deep. Plenty of sheltered lawn areas to spread out your rugs and have a picnic - there's also a well priced café selling hot/cold drinks, toasties and other simple snacks and ice-creams. Although the water is heated, I would recommend a wet-suit for children. The staff were vigilant, but also accommodating - we were allowed to throw a beachball around. There's so much space there is no chance you could get in anyone's way. The changing rooms and toilets are being revamped, but were adequate for us. The setting is wonderful, the facility is excellent.

A Cambridge treasure - where else can you swim outside in clean water for 100 yard lengths?

Jesus Green Lido
Beautiful if somewhat at the time of visiting ramshackle Lido in great surrounds. Trees have been allowed to grow so leaves were floating in the middle of the pool. Interesting due to two shallow ends and a deep middle allowing one to feel as if swimming out from beach and back in one length.Super friendly staff and regulars in this unheated Lido. At the time of visiting a perfectly comfortable, once moving, 20C water temperature. 91m length is interesting if you decide to sprint train as at 50m you crave an end. Water is crisp and clean. When the sun breaks through the trees it is magical.

The Jesus Green Lido is a fantastic choice for a sunny day. The water might feel cold initially, but you'll quickly adapt. The pool is impressively long at 91 meters, featuring shallower sections on the sides and a deeper middle to prevent overcrowding. You'll find convenient facilities for changing, storing belongings, and taking showers. Right next to the pool, there is a café selling ice cream and more.At just £9.50, the ticket price for one adult and one child is quite reasonable. The only challenge is parking, but fear not – you can easily walk from the town center in around 10 minutes. The staff is friendly and helpful, adding to the appeal of the Jesus Green Lido as a top destination for a fun outing.

The water was absolutely fantastic (it is cold!), but I was really disappointed that they think it's acceptable to leave all tree leaves in the pool. There were more leaves than water and it made the swimming experience not great... such a shame! The pool ladders could use some TLC and some were out of order. With a little bit of care, this would be a fantastic place to spend every day in the summer!!!
