I have no experience in GP services as yet - this is purely REGISTRATION REVIEW- It is 2021- I have arrived to register in GP, waiting outside in the queue for an hour and more! You got to be this early if you want to get this done. Area - Gorgie - you would think , considering the volume of population here - there would be easier way to register in GP (email, online registration, options are countless- check with partner GP practises , how do they go about it) - you would also think considering the century this would not be a case - to waste your time standing outside waiting to register, like all these people and myself have no jobs/ places to be! Completely nuts! I hope the experience improves by services this practise provides and hopefully lovely stuff - to balance this registration nonsense out!

The most racist online application form I have come across in my life. Made impossible to register. Patients capacity 'reached' within 5min, application available once a week. Total waste of your time and nerves. Are you in need of medical attention? Unless you're able to afford the private clinic you're pretty much dumed.

A great practice..from the reception team to the Doctors and Nurses. I have used it for over 40 years and have nothing but admiration for the whole team.

The worst Receptionist experiences (yes, I had more than one bad conversation with them). Racists, patronising, whoever is at reception should change job. Apparently the junkies are their emergency, if you are about to die, it is not an emergency for them. Will change practice!!! Stay away from them!!!

For all the people here complaining about registration and appointments - I am a patient in Springwell for 3 years and have nothing but great experience, with doctors, nurses and receptionists. I am ill a lot, so this is based on multiple occasions.If you want to register, just get there 20 mins early and you will get in - yes, you have to wait in the queue for a bit, but that's the case literally for one single time - after that, you've got a GP, sorted.The same with appointments - if you need one, you have to call at 8:00 or 11:00. Not 8:05 or 8:10 but 8:00 sharp. If you really are ill and want a same day appointment for free, to call at exact time is not so difficult. If you want to get help, you have to make a minimal effort yourself.All the staff are working very hard every single day there, they are really busy and they are doing amazing job. My GP (Dr. Donnelly) is a godsend. You can see she is so busy, but always patient with me a very kind. The same with everyone else - I honestly don't know how they all manage. Thank you, Springwell medical team, I am very grateful for all the help. ❤️

I have received excellent help from the reception when I went to register me and my family. They guided me on how to book an appointment and other procedures as well. I find the staff on the desk very accomodating whenever possible.

They open registration for new patients every Monday at 10am and take only the FIRST 30 APPLICANT PER WEEK. The point is that they make you fill detailed form online that takes 15-20 minutes, and of course by the time you finish it's already too late. So basically they accept only perfectly healthy people, who have the least amount of info to fill in the registration form, everyone else, especially people who need medical attention the most, can just duck off. This practice is a joke.

Great admin staff. Great doctors.All. Apart from DR. Ali whom will go right out his way to take away life saving medicine for no other reason than because he can ... Please, this is my families doctor so I have nothing to give but the truth... Stay away from being put on to him.

Unhelpful and rude receptionists. Sending sick 5 year old to pharmacy with high temperature and barking cough. Last time they tried to send me to pharmacy with kidney infection, eventually when the doctor saw me i was given antibiotics. They think they know everything and won't let you see the doctor. 11:02 is to late to call to get an appoinment. Every second day they sending me message that they are short on Staff.When you actually success to get an appointment, you can be more than sure that youll be seen by locum doctor, who you won't see again. Shame because the doctors are nice and want to help.

My husband and I just moved to Edinburgh, and we have had nothing but great experiences with this GP. Yes, you do have to come early to register and wait. Yes, you do need to call exactly at 11am to get a same-day appointment, but as we have followed all their guidelines, we have been able to speak to the doctor several times when calling on the same day. The GPs are very kind, understanding, and they really listen and resolve problems. I have some anxiety surrounding doctors' offices, but when I went for an in-person procedure, the staff was so understanding and caring about making me feel comfortable and reducing my anxiety. My prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy quickly and without issue. I feel very cared for here and the reception staff are also so kind.
