The Art Picture House - JD Wetherspoon
An impressive interior reflecting the decor of a former historical cinema.I asked what ale was popular and received a puzzled reaction from the female bartender.Not to worry, the male bartender recommended an ale, which was pretty good (Ghost Ship)I'm not sure if this one has a beer garden.I preferred my spoons visit to Rochdale over this one.

We visited as a group of 4 on Saturday, late afternoon. The pub was very busy as Bury had a football match on and a lot of supports were there.Despite it being busy we were served quite quickly as they had pleanty of staff on and the staff were polite and friendly.After a round of drinks we managed to get a table so sat down for further drinks. The drinks selection, quality and price are all very good and typical of most Wetherspoons. They often get this right and one of the reasons I always go back to Wetherspoons across the country. Wetherspoons is exceptionally good value for money.Two of the group ordered food. One dish was a pizza and I ordered a vegan beyond burger and chips.The food came within a reasonable time frame. Pizza was reported to be nice but the vegan burger was very disappointing. It was very dark in colour and very dry, it had been over cooked or more likely cooked in a batch and left to sit for a very long period of time in a warmer or warm plate or even reheated.The building itself is beautiful and has some really nice architecture and decor. It even has a down stairs female toilet (I know, you don't see that often in wetherspoons) and large seating areas however the furniture and carpets have probably seen better days.If your out for a drink I would recommend a visit, good pint at a great price.

Great place to have a Wetherspoons. With it being an old picture house the decor is amazing. Easy to order food and drinks straight off the app.

Sorry to say not good the porridge lumpy and the bowl had a big chip out of it the bake beans and toast bad bake beans no flavour and taste and the toast on one side only and all cold the egg Benedict was ok not happy about the meal

It’s an okay Wetherspoons, but I’ve been to better ones with a better layout — but I suppose that it’s very interesting to look at for roughly five minutes. Not sure that this is somewhere I would want to spend any longer than I had to though lolStill, it’s better than the other Spoons pub around the corner (Sir Robert Peel) without even trying as jeez that place is abysmal

Went with the kids for a treat. They enjoyed themselves and the fun activities on the back of the kids menu. Shame there's no pepperoni pizza on the kids menu, it's their favourite.

The staff was amazing, the food was lovely and the building was unbelievable and the atmosphere was uplifting. What more could you ask for. I really enjoyed my self.

Smaller than others I've been to but it has a nice atmosphere and the service is good. Ladies toilets could do with updating but overall I liked this one, mainly because of the decor.
