Cottages On Arran

Thirlestane is a beautiful big house and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Fitted out to a high standard, there was everything you could possibly need to make your stay extremely comfortable. The games room with snooker table and a young kids craft area, were big hits! The views are amazing and the sunsets were stunning. Great sheltered seating area and good grassy area for kids to play. We had a wonderful holiday

We had such a fantastic time at this beautiful cottage in a great location. Only a very short drive or a nice walk to the most beautiful beach on Arran, Kildonan. We swam in the sea most days, and enjoyed looking for crabs and star fish. We loved how close the woods were. As for the cottage itself, we couldn't fault it! The beds and bedding were so comfy, the bath big and hot, and the kitchen was the best equipped we've ever seen in a holiday cottage. The mugs were great, the knives sharp! We stayed with our little 1 year old and she loved looking out the big windows and splashing in the bath. It was easy to keep clean and tidy, with well thought out details throughout. The welcome hamper was so lovely, and the helpful books and guides helped us to find things to do on Arran. I would absolutely 100% recommend to friends, family, and anyone. We will be back! Thank you. Also, the host was so lovely and helpful.

House is in a lovely location 5mins walk to the beach - so close you can hear the waves breaking on the shore. We were greeted with a note from Andy and Eleanor and gift of red wine and some chutney very thoughtful. House was very clean with comfortable beds and all of us slept very well during our. We were delighted to be visited by a red squirrel in the garden while enjoying our breakfast. Would have no hesitation recommending this house.

Very sweet apartment. Had everything we need. I suffer with a bad back but had no problems with this bed! Lovely views.

This cottage was the perfect place to stay for our holiday on Arran. Stunning views and everything you could possibly need and beyond was provided in the cottage. Furniture, electrical equipment bedding and towels were of a particularly high standard.From booking to leaving the owners provided excellent communication as well as assisted with our personal needs. Simply Perfect.

Toft Knowe is a Fabulous cottage with fabulous views over to the sea and to the Arran mountains.Well equipped and suitable for families.Within easy walking distance of all local amenities in Blackwaterfoot. We will be back

The Cottage was a delight, it was found and left by us impeccably clean. We moved dinning table to the window which made meal times a real pleasure, the views are 'million dollar'. We loved the cottage, we will probably book again. The only suggestions we could think of is if there was a BBQ area or even a small portable BBQ grill. The other was it would have been very useful if there was a stick blender.Thank you

A beautiful house with everything one could wish for to have a great holiday. A fantastic base to explore the beauty of Arran. The house was perfect for our holiday with our adult children but I can see it would be great for any family holiday or for a group of friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ferry Cottage. We found it to be well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location right at the harbour & in the centre of the village are just perfect. We had glorious weather and enjoyed using the top of the garden for coffee, dinner & drinks during the day and in the evenings. The views from kitchen and the garden are amazing.
