Warriston Path
One of North Edinburgh's many fantastic paths for cyclists, runners and walkers. Stunning views from the old railway bridge over the Waters of Leith. Lots of paths coming off it to various parts of the near-by city, including the Botanic Gardens and Cannonmills.

I have used these pathways for years, one of the best ways to cycle around town, no cars to worry about, the network of paths were the old railway back in the day so they connect the city from Leith to Granton to Corstorphine and others. You are guided by signage when you come to a junction you are given direction and distance to places. It can help if you know Edinburgh a bit and where to get on and off the pathways, as some of the access points are discreetly placed and can be easily missed. The paths are also good for walks and can be very scenic, well worth seeking the paths and having a walk, jog, run or cycle.

Brilliant paths that cut right through the city. These old railway lines have been converted into pedestrian and cycle lanes and are fantastic for walking through the city. For most of their route they are lower than the surrounding streets, with trees and plants on either embankment, so you could easily forget that you are close to the city centre and assume you were out in the countryside.Excellent especially for travelling between Haymarket and the northern districts of Edinburgh.

Nice path to walk and cycle running in the vicinity of Water of Leith from Bonnington to Leith (but not reaching Leith). It starts at King George V park, connects with Gonden Acre Path, St. Mark´s Path, Chancelot Path and Victoria Path and Water of Leith Walkway, where it ends. Warriston Path is part of the National Route 75 of the National Cycle Network on its full length.
