The Roseate Reading

Afternoon tea with friends. The spread was delightful and the service could not be better. Attentive and friendly without being intrusive. And we were able to take our cakes home when we found we simply didn't have any room left to eat them! Can't recommend highly enough.

Great location walking distance to the city center. The rooms are nicely furnished and tastefully done. We stayed in a separate 7 storey building from the main building (with spa on the top floor). Separate by a parking lot. The furniture in the reception area looks worn and tired and needs replacement; however, the receptionist was friendly and helpful.

WOW!! What a hotel, the staff where AMAZING!! all smiles at reception, really welcoming,The building and decor are absolutely STUNNING, I stay in the house building but will Definatly b booking the traditional building next time, not to take anything away from the house building room was HUGE really modern and comfortable, me and my wife loved it!!Decent parking as it has it own car park, but is 1st come, first serve,Great location near all the high streets, restaurants and bars, the station is also only a stone throw away!!Visited the spa, for a couples massage which was LOVELY,Really can't say enough good things about this hotel, a real hidden gem in Reading and can't wait to go back!!

Stunning hotel. Our executive suite was beautiful with everything you could possibly want. Everything was clean and fresh smelling. The Receptionists were all lovely and very helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Excellent stay. Room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very nice and good quality ingredients but might lack some of the continental options but still it was one of the best we had. I will definitely stay again.

Rooms have nice decor however it looks a little worn in places ( chip in the bottom of the sink, wallpaper scuffs etc.) I personally found the lighting too dim in the common areas. The rooms don't have aircon in the main part of the hotel. However there was a Dyson fan in the room. The parking is very limited and it is awkward to get to if you come to the front of the hotel as you have to go around Reading's one way system to access it at the rear of the building. The staff were very attentive and extremely polite. The food was very good and the breakfast was nice

Was offered a free upgrade in the modern building at the rear of the location. The room was excellent with a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was awesome with a walk in shower and a roll top bath.

no idea how it’s 5 star the bathroom was run down and in need of repair, balcony door wouldn’t close, there was a coffee machine but no pods or even mugs. the heating in the room was good though.they also made me pay a £50 “extras” deposit on check in which i was told would be refunded in 3-6 days when i checked out. over a week later and it hasn’t been refunded when i didn’t use any extras so i will HAVE to come back and speak to the front desk. not helpful at all.in future ill stay at malmaison or MATTER OF FACT even the novotel is better

A great Christmas party venue!Fantastic dinner, really tasty and beautifully presented.Superb service. Efficient and polite staff.

Had a work Christmas meal here and it was a very fun night. Friendly members of staff, a lovely and big venue, and easy to get to. The food was also very good.
