RB Guitar Repairs

I spoke with Russell this morning regarding restringing a right to a left handed guitar and very glad that i spoke with him, being a new guitar, he gave me lots of invaluable advice and information which has saved me a lot of money!! I may just have gone ahead and had the guitar restrung which would have been costly, he also gave me advice on the type of guitar to go for as a beginner which is educating in itself. You can tell just talking to Russell, how passionate he is about his craft, I will certainly be keeping his number handy for any future issues I may come up against. Incredibly helpful with a gracious attitude too. Thank you Russell.

Top quality repair. Came back from holidays to find bridge totally popped off guitar body. Thought it was ruined. He's fixed it ! Plays better now than before . Man's a genius .

Russell is an outstanding craftsman, his attention to detail is spot on and he is ridiculously talented at what he does. I honestly can’t recommend RB Guitars enough and will be coming to Russell for all future guitar work. Top bloke!I searched online and spoke to a few guitarists in the NE, trying to find someone who I knew would do a top-notch job on my Martin J-40, which was looking rather sad and in need of a LOT of attention. I contacted Russell and he was really helpful, then booked it in for repair..Russell went above and beyond what I was expecting and did an incredible job on the guitar. He reattached and put in new binding/purfling where it had lifted and had come unattached from the body, did a total re-fret of the guitar, managed to sort out and level the fretboard which had depressions from where it had been played like crazy over the years (the difference is unbelievable!) and fixed the back of the neck which was all worn and knackered. I was worried about the bridge lifting, but Russell fixed this too!It’s a totally different guitar, plays like a dream and the pictures definitely don’t do Russell’s work on it justice (or show you just how bad the guitar was to start with). I don’t know what kind of magic wizardry was used, but you actually cannot tell where the work was done - it blends in so well!After seeing how good the work on my Martin was, I’ve booked my main gigging guitar (Takamine TAN-16C) in for some work.RB Guitars is the best of the best.

Russell Bennett has looked after my guitars for many years. He builds bespoke, high-end acoustic guitars in County Durham, the intricate inlay work this man is capable of is nothing short of astounding. The man is a master of all aspects of fretwork, repairs, restoration and resprays. Incredible skills.To top it all off Russell is one of the kindest and friendliest people you could ever meet. He has never let me down. Highly recommended.
