Unfortunately I had to have my beloved pet euthanised recently. Icknield In Dunstable we’re absolutely amazing and so supportive.I was given so much time by the wonderful, caring staff. I cannot express how grateful I am for making this horrendous experience go as smoothly as possible.Thank you

Fantastic vet surgery, fit me in very quickly because Luton surgery was booked up for the day. Vet & front desk staff were so friendly and helpful, first time our pup has been poorly and been to the vets since her injections and they were all great with her. Thank you.

Idea for me being disabled the car park is near to the entrance which only has a very small step to get in .The vet rooms do have higher steps and to the reception area there are a few steps .Staff will come to the waiting area so no worry about getting up them . The practice is in an old building , reminding me of James Herriett times .Vet very thorough with my cats examination and even rang me at home to discuss her further treatment.Follow up appointment was handled in the same way with the vet explaining fully what the treatment would be .Insurance claim was dealt without me having to worry about it .The surgery isn't opened very often on a Saturday but if you are registered you can be seen at either of the other two branches one in Luton the other at Harpenden. Ring first and give them full information as Saturdays are usually for emergencies .

I don't normally leave reviews but I feel I have to in this case. My elderly dog suddenly started having seizures and suffered a stroke. I knew the old boys time had come. I rang every vet in my area and no one was willing to give me an emergency appointment to help put him to sleep. Even though I explained his seizures were violent and happening every 20min he was in a lot of pain l didn't want him to suffer any more. The response l received was , he is not a patient or we don't have any appointments for the next few days. I still can't believe no one would help. I was passed from pillar to post. My last dog had cancer and vets were bending over backwards to carry out his treatment which cost me thousands because the insurance wouldn't cover it.I rang Icknield vets at 10.20am this morning and asked for an emergency appointment. Lorraine first said they were full but when l explained my situation to her she told me to be there for 11am. She was brilliant, understanding and compasionate and the vet equally as understanding. You can see the duty of care at this surgery. They put the animals welfare first. I cannot recomend them enough. Vets in my experience are happy to take advantage of pet owners and I have experienced this a number of times in the past 30 years. Its sad but on occasions like this you really know what your vet is worth. My dog zeus was not a patient at any vets as in the 12 years we had him he never had and need for treatment. He was extremely loved and looked aftered. Even the vet today commented she was surprised he was 12. She showed care and gave him dignity as he was put to sleep. Will never forget how these guys helped. You and your pet won't get better care and understanding anywhere else. Thank you Icknield vets for restoring my faith!

I phoned the Dunstable branch as my kitten was poorly, they immediately fitted her in and were all really lovely - to me and the cat! I then was referred to the Luton branch and she had treatment that same afternoon.I then had follow up calls from the vet on the Saturday morning and the following week when I was able to tell them Luna had made a complete recovery.Very kind and caring - thank you
