I usually love the shopping experience in a Waitrose store - lovely produce ( if expensive) lovely staff and just an altogether nice shopping time - until I went to Eaton Waitrose yesterday ( first time in ages following an operation ) and was horrified to see all the self service tills !! Horrific sight … where’s the personal service associated with Waitrose ? I know the senior managers will say it’s demand led but really ? All three open staffed tills had queues while the self service tills were only used by small basket shoppers and one or two at most !! I dread to think what Christmas will be like ! Shame on you Waitrose ….. no serviced tills means no service staff …..

You know where you are with Waitrose! Great quality food, even in their essential range, polite, knowledgeable staff who really have time for you and certain products that only Waitrose stock. Its middle-class reputation goes before it, but if course, a broad range of people shop there!

I do like this small, well-stocked shop but their yellow label reductions are hilarious. Today I bought two cinnamon buns reduced to clear at £1.85. Their original price was £1.87!!I'll check closely next time

It's a shame, when you finish work later than everyone else and when you get to waitrose Eaton they don't have any fresh bread, all you want to do is all of your shopping in one place your are forced to go somewhere else. I find they do have a better selection of organic meats, but if they put something on offer you best get there when they open the doors or have a drop of Irish luck to find anything that you, wanted when you finish work late. I have found some of the staff borderline racist. I like the new layout of there store. There is also a boots pharmacy side the shop, including a photo booth for passport / driving licence photos.The coffee shop is not the best the coffee machine is only bean to cup and is not the best to say the least, the sandwiches are half frozen, and the don't do takeaway coffee only if you bring your own cup.

Love this store. It's large, plenty of room between aisles, bright and airy. Lovely curtious staff. Has a big cafe with outdoor tables and chairs to eat ( not much choice for vegetarian/ vegans). Nice clean toilets and a seperate disabled one with baby changing facilities. Has a customer car park.

Disgusted and very angry that Waitrose Norwich have decided to install 8 new card only machines at the expense of at least 3 trolley check outs. What on earth are 40/50 shoppers going to do this Christmas with trolleys full of shopping? Just the thought of this stresses me out. Mindless decision making and evidently no consideration for the needs of local customers, Most of which who are likely to be elderly and enjoy a nice conversation with a human being. I can honestly say I've not spoken to a single customer that's happy with this move. I for one do not support this dangerous digitalised cashless movement and after years of custom I will not be shopping at this branch anymore unless I have absolutely no other option.

Waitrose & Partners Norwich at Eaton Centre, Church Ln, Norwich NR4 6NU. There is a cafe inside Waitrose supermarket, whereas the seating area is nice but types of cakes, sandwiches and drinks are very limited.

This is our go to place for top up shops and we walk there most days with rucksacks, more about walking and using the car less. Some of the staff are really nice but too many of them should be sent on customer relations training. As for the coffee machine, there have been times you would think we had walked into someone’s house to help ourselves. We have in the past stopped on the way home on our motorcycles and on one occasion asked to speak to the duty manager about the attitude from some staff because we were wearing motorcycle attire. This year we were so obviously being watched as if we were shoplifters because we started visiting daily it was embarrassing. My wife is a retired school teacher and I am DBS checked for my job. This is without doubt the worst supermarket I have encountered for customer service. You don’t know us so don’t judge us.

10.03.2023 Store is quite small but has nearly everything even a small range of JL mugs, candles and homeware.Small selection of essentials, fruit and veg aisle is a little cramped. Small, narrow aisles which makes it hard to get around esp at busy times with a trolleySelf-service is card only but staff are very helpful.
